It’s more than an op shop. It’s a place to belong.
Over the past month, we’ve watched our Retail Skills participants build confidence, learn new skills and discover just how much they have to offer.
From greeting customers and sorting donations to merchandising, using the register and keeping the shop running, every shift brings new opportunities to learn, grow and take on something new.
But the biggest wins aren’t always the ones you see on the shop floor.
It’s the confidence to have a conversation with a customer.
It’s learning to work as part of a team.
It’s taking pride in a job well done.
It’s becoming a familiar face in the local community.
It’s finding a place where you feel valued, included and connected.
Our Retail Skills Program is about creating real opportunities for people living with disability to develop valuable workplace skills, build independence and be an active part of their community.
We’re so proud of the progress, the effort and the moments of confidence we see every week.
Here’s a little snapshot of the last month at the C2A Mount Eliza Op Shop.
Come see what we’re all about.
