NATUROPATH & KINESIOLOGIST

My name is Carrie and I am passionate about addressing the underlying causes of disease, particularly the connection between emotions, stress and the physical body. I take a holistic approach, treating the whole person, rather than an isolated set of symptoms. With a strong focus on bridging the gap between the mind and the body, I am a believer in the integration of ev

idence-based natural medicine, with both the wisdom of traditional therapies and the power of energy healing. My goal is to assist my clients to regain their natural state of balance, enabling their innate ability to heal.

One of my lovely clients recently sent me this beautiful photo of a Fringed Violet they found while walking in Crowdy Bay National Park šŸ’œ

Isn’t it gorgeous?

Fringed Violet is one of Australia’s native Bush Flowers and energetically it is used as an Australian Bush Flower Essences | Emotional Wellbeing essence to protect and repair the aura, and support the energetic effects of shock and trauma.

It’s one of my favourite remedies to use both with clients and for myself - as it helps prevent absorbing energies that aren’t our own šŸ«¶šŸ¼

In Australian Bush Flower Essences, it’s used for:
✨ Damage caused by shock, distress, or loss of consciousness
✨ Psychic protection
✨ Supporting highly sensitive people who feel drained by their environment and tend to absorb the emotions or energies of the people around them
✨ Rebuilding and strengthening the aura after difficult experiences

Whether you work with flower essences or simply love Australia’s native flora, there’s something quite special about stumbling across one growing wild in its natural habitat!

Have you ever come across a native Fringed Violet? šŸ’œ

I’ve been a little quiet around here lately…

The last few weeks have been FULL!

Alongside my clinic, I’ve been wrapping up projects, putting the finishing touches on my Kangen Education online course, completing my kinesiology teacher training, preparing for my first intake of students in September… and just generally LIFE-ing 😊

These are the times I’m so grateful to be a Generator! I can just go and go and go (with a decent stash of adrenal and nervous system support on the side of course 🌿).

But it’s time to wind down a little now.

Tomorrow is my final clinic day before I close the clinic for a month and take a well-earned break.

It turns out practitioners need servicing too šŸ™šŸ¼

So I’m officially closing for scheduled maintenance.

Aaand… it’s LEO SEASON ā™Œļø and August is my birthday month, so it feels like the perfect time to get away, see the fam, explore a little, and refill my own cup.

As much as I adore a Northern Rivers winter, Gracie and I will be hitting the road and heading south for a while to experience some actual cold (along with approximately 27 winter coats… one of the perks of driving instead of flying šŸ˜‚).

I’ll still be popping in here from time to time, and if you’d like to follow our adventures, come and say hi over at šŸ¦‹ Carrie - Thriving and Sovereign

But if you’ve been wondering where I’ve disappeared to… now you know.

Here’s to a month away, the big wide open road, and coming back refreshed.

See you in September šŸ’—

We’ve had some strong, earthy, Ta**us season new moon vibes this weekend šŸŒ™ ✨

Ta**us energy has a way of bringing attention back to what is embodied, tangible, sustainable and real.

Capacity. Nourishment. Stability.

Here in the Southern Hemisphere, we’re right at the end of autumn, moving through the Earth element transition before winter begins. In Chinese medicine, this in-between Earth element phase is not about pushing forward - it’s about integration.

Digesting. Recalibrating. Stabilising.
Preparing the system for the next season.

Ta**us is often reduced to comfort, beauty or luxury, but underneath all of that is a much more fundamental question:

What actually allows life to feel safe?

And as autumn strips things back through the Metal element - clarifying what can be let go of and what no longer feels aligned or sustainable - the Earth element arrives asking:

What now actually nourishes you?
What stabilises your system?
What depletes you?
What are you still tolerating that your body is exhausted by?
What rhythms genuinely support your life?

And the transition into winter is going to make those questions even more potent.

Because winter - the Water element in Chinese medicine - tends to expose where people have been overriding themselves for too long.

But it also slows things down enough for us to hear the deeper truths too.

And maybe that’s part of the invitation right now..

Just becoming more honest about what your system is actually carrying.

And what it would mean to build a life that your nervous system no longer has to keep pushing its way through.

If you’ve ever had a dog (or a nervous system) in fear.. you’ll know this state

Hovering
Following
Not quite settling
Not quite needing anything specific..
just worried and unsure of where to land

The last few days, Gracie’s been moving through a fear response after the storms

Extreme terror and shaking
Freeze and flight
Worry and uncertainty
Loss of confidence
Needing me to anchor her

And instead of trying to ā€˜fix’ it or rush her out of it..
I’ve been allowing her nervous system to do what it needs to do.

✨ Allowing her to move through whatever state she’s in
✨ Giving her space when she needs it
✨ Being there when she seeks me for attunement
✨ Creating safe, positive experiences alongside it all

And when we’re both ready..
(because mama is a little exhausted too šŸ˜…)

I’ll do a full Neuroenergetic Kinesiology balance to support the deeper integration

In the meantime, I’m supporting her with flower essences, herbs, magnesium, and simple energetic + nervous system tools
(and lots of love) ā¤ļø

In this moment, I’m working with:
– CV17 (heart, emotional integration, nervous system release)
– Adrenal, base chakra + kidney energy (terror, fear, safety, grounding)
– Fear points (survival/emotional pathways)
– Containment through the body + a somatic chest hold

But more than anything.. I’m listening.

Just following her cues
Letting her body tell me when it’s ready to shift

This was a 5-minute process (sped up for Instagram)..
and you can see it happening in real time:

Standing → sitting → softening → rest

That’s not me ā€˜calming her down’
That’s her nervous system completing a cycle safely

This is how we prevent fear from getting stuck

By supporting the body to move through it

And honestly.. there’s so much we can learn from animals
and their ability to just move through things

I’m trusting that by continuing to support her,
this fear will process as it’s meant to
and won’t become something that stays stuck in her system

Because it’s been a lot for both of us šŸ«¶šŸ¼

THE NON-DUALITY TRAP

Non-duality teaches you that the separate self doesn’t really exist.

It’s a mind-blowing realisation at first. It feels like the deepest truth you’ve ever encountered.

When that nondual truth is spoken so cleanly, so beautifully, so poetically, it can seem like there’s nothing more to do, nowhere else to look. You’ve found the ultimate reality.

There is no individual doer. No one here. Just awareness being aware of itself.

It can become very addictive.

But non-duality can destroy your life if you misunderstand it.

ā€œNo selfā€ can come to mean no needs, no longing, no accountability. No one who has to show up, commit, be vulnerable, take responsibility, or do the hard work of healing. It becomes the perfect recipe for avoidance. For bypassing our humanity while pretending to have transcended it.

We know now that trauma lives in the body, below the level of awareness. You cannot ā€œwitnessā€ your way out of wounds formed before you had language.

No satsang can reach it. No recognition of pure being can touch it.

The wound just sits there. Unhealed. Festering, while we talk of ā€œawarenessā€.

And then the scandals. Teacher after teacher after teacher. Sleeping with students, cheating on spouses, abuse, power games, cover-ups.

This is what happens when non-dual ā€œclarityā€ is severed from the messy, inconvenient reality of being human. When everything is reduced to awareness, and the imperfect human is basically dismissed.

No self.
No accountability.
No one to care who gets hurt.

The nervous system doesn’t heal in ā€œsatsangā€. It heals in relationship, in commitment, in profound vulnerability, in showing up for your loved ones when every part of you wants to leave. In telling the truth.

*When non-duality becomes a fixed position, a final answer, a set of ideas to cling to, it stops being alive. It becomes a dogma, a way of actually avoiding life. A way of stepping out of responsibility while claiming to be beyond it. A way of refusing the human while speaking in the pristine language of the absolute.*

I feel so relieved to have stepped away from the non-duality framework. In keeping the realisations but leaving the cult behind, I found a freedom, joy and aliveness that had been missing all along.

Oooft… if you’re feeling unsettled right now, you’re not alone.

That underlying sense of unease and uncertainty…
2020 vibes, but heavier.

There’s a lot happening in the world right now, and even if you’re not consciously thinking about it, your body is still processing it.

Supporting our nervous system is key. Because when we’re dysregulated, it’s very easy to spiral into fear, panic, worry and dread.

To support ourselves, we have to know our limits - and what we need to feel grounded and safe. This isn’t a time to judge ourselves or try to be better. It’s a time to listen.

To really attune to how we’re feeling, and respond to what we need.

Pay attention to your patterns - what supports you, and what doesn’t - and take care of yourself accordingly.

For me, it’s my daily routines and rhythms. My dog Gracie keeps me pretty anchored - no matter how I feel, we have our structure, and she brings me back to the present moment.

It’s connection - a phone call, or a catch-up with like-minded friends.

It’s a favourite show, a quiet coffee in a favourite cafĆ©, a walk on the beach.

The last few weekends I’ve found myself at plant nurseries. There’s just something about having your hands in the dirt, planting, tending 🌱

And then there are the practical things too - keeping fuel in the tank, money in the bank, bills paid, fridge and pantry stocked.

Preparing, not panicking.

If you’re needing a little extra support right now (I know I am), please reach out.

A kinesiology balance - or even a few - can be incredibly beneficial in times like these.

I also offer my Balance in a Bottle blends - personalised flower essence blends that can be made specifically for you and posted out.

I’ve also got a couple of supportive offerings in the works…

I’m recording a Grounding & Safety Activation, working with the base chakra and those deeper survival emotions, for anyone who feels called to that.

And I’m in the process of creating a small group energetic support space called Sanctuary - more on that soon.

In the meantime, take care of yourself.
We’re all moving through this together.

Love,
Carrie x

🌺🌿🌟 Hi, I’m Carrie, Naturopath and Neuroenergetic Kinesiologist.

It’s been a little while since I introduced myself on here!

A bit about me and how I work..

My work is centred around patterns.
Connecting the dots.

The kind that aren’t always obvious - but sit underneath things like fatigue, anxiety, hormonal shifts, stress, and depletion.

✨ Nervous systems that don’t switch off.
✨ Mineral imbalances that change how the body handles stress.
✨ Weight that won’t shift.
✨ Bodies that have adapted to chronic stress.

Most people don’t come in looking for a modality.

They come in because something feels off - and they can’t quite get to the bottom of it.

This is where I work.

Not just with symptoms, but with the patterns underneath them.

✨ Nervous system patterns.
✨ Mineral patterns.
✨ Long-standing stress patterns.

We start with a 1:1 session.

A space to tune in and listen to what your body is saying - not just what it’s presenting.

From there, the work unfolds.

Sometimes that looks like kinesiololy - working with what’s being held beneath the surface.

Sometimes we go deeper into mineral analysis - mapping the physiological terrain shaping your energy, mood, and nervous system.

Sometimes it’s naturopathic and metabolic work - rebuilding with nutrition, herbs, and food.

And sometimes, it’s simply slowing things down enough for your body to actually be heard.

Different tools.
Same principle.

✨ Unwind stress.
✨ Rebuild resilience.
✨ Restore capacity.

If you know there’s more going on beneath the surface - you’re probably in the right place.

If you’re feeling drawn to this work, you’re welcome to reach out or explore further via the link in my bio šŸ«¶šŸ¼

šŸ“ 🌿 You can find me in Urliup, in the beautiful Tweed Valley - just 7 minutes from Murwillumbah - high amongst the hills of a 20 million year old caldera and the magic of Mt Wollumbin ✨

(Online sessions available)

POTASSIUM - the mineral of Yang, Fire, Mars energy, the Heart Chakra - forward, directional, initiating.

It’s one of the most overlooked - and revealing - minerals on an HTMA!

We often call it the vitality mineral, but really, it reflects how well you can access and utilise your energy.

It’s represented by a circle with a cross above it - the meeting point between yourself, what you feel and what you do with what you feel.

Physiologically, potassium plays a key role in cellular function, nerve activity, and muscle contraction. In HTMA, it gives insight into metabolic activity, nervous system resilience, and overall energy availability.

When it’s low, things tend to slow.

You might still know what you want..
but acting on it feel so much harder.

Energy isn’t as available.
Drive becomes inconsistent.
Procrastination and freeze set in.

In practice, potassium is never interpreted in isolation.

We look at it alongside sodium and calcium - as these relationships tell us far more than the Potassium on its own.

Low potassium with low sodium is a common pattern.
It can reflect reduced adrenal activity, lower stress tolerance, and low digestive capacity.

This often shows up as fatigue, burnout, or that ā€œfunctional freezeā€ state - where you’re still functioning, but everything takes waymore effort than it should.

Then we look at the calcium to potassium ratio.

When calcium is high relative to potassium, it reflects a metabolic slowing pattern.

Energy gets held rather than expressed.

This is where people feel stuck.
Not shut down.. but not moving forward either.

Potassium supports the ability to turn intention into action.

And when it’s supported in the context of the whole system, things begin to shift.

Energy becomes more available.
Movement feels easier.

Potassium-rich foods are a great place to start!

But supplementation isn’t something to do blindly.

Potassium works in balance with other minerals - and that balance reflects how your nervous system is coping and how stress is impacting your body.

Want to understand what your potassium is really telling you?
