Like a lot of the children I work with I need time to replenish my spoons (mental energy). I’m back seeing client face to face today and I look forward to hearing about what you’ve all be up to. Over the last 2 weeks we have reorganised the clinic and made some small changes.

Happy 2nd Birthday to us! It’s been 2 year since we moved up the hill to our clinic in Elanora Heights. Here’s some pics of how it started and where we are now. Bit by bit we’ve tried to make our clinic a safe haven for all our little friends!

I’m getting bigger everyday. I have so much to learn which includes not eating the clinics toys! This is very hard as they are so tempting and I’m still learning by chewing and putting things in my mouth. So while I’m in the clinic I’m tethered so I don’t damage the toys!

The team at Elanora Speech will be back in the office on Monday the 5th of January and seeing clients again on Wednesday the 7th of January. In the meantime we are recharging our batteries and getting things ready for a busy 2026! Sootie is busy learning to be a therapy dog - join her journey on her page.

Please welcome the newest member of the team Sootie. Sootie is our new therapy dog in training. She’s an 8 week old Jack-Russel Foxy cross so she’s going to stay pretty small. She’s been raised with small children and loved being pushed in a pram and helping with cuddles when on the IPad. Dogs have an amazing ability to help children and adults with their regulation so she’s will be a valued team member.

We had a little visitor who came with their hooman this week to Speech Therapy. She was super cute and I enjoyed the snuggles. Dogs are amazing for emotional well being for all people!
