Receiving visions about how my work space is going to look moving forward. Is my adhd choosing a new sparkling task over other things I probably should be doing… yes. Am I going to look at this in a couple of hours and ask my past self why she chose to take on this project? Probably. But I see the vision, I’m holding onto this goal and I’m excited to see what I can create ❤️‍🔥

Finally some change. Although I don’t believe it’s enough it is a small step in the right direction…

VICTORIAN WOMEN, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU! 💚

The green whistle (Penthrox) is now available for IUD procedures at every Women's Sexual and Reproductive Health Hub in Victoria. All 20 of them... Hallelujah.

It's the same fast-acting, short-term pain relief often used in emergency settings. You hold it. You stay in control. The days of "just take a Paracetamol beforehand" are behind us and we're not looking back.

Hub appointments are free, and yes, that includes regional Victoria. More than 11,000 Victorian women and girls used the hubs last year, and anyone walking through those doors for an IUD insertion or removal now has access to free, effective pain relief.

✨ Nourishment is so much more than food ✨

This week’s doula cooking session was extra special.

My beautiful client didn’t just receive meals for the week ahead — she joined me in the kitchen. We chopped vegetables side by side, shared stories, sat together while meals simmered, and took time to pray for one another.

There is something deeply healing about being held in community. About creating nourishment with your own hands while someone walks alongside you. These moments remind me that doula work isn’t just about practical support — it’s about witnessing, holding space, and honouring the journey you’re on.

It is a privilege to be invited into these sacred moments and to witness the unfolding healing, growth and strength of the women I work with. 🤍

🌿 Beef rump, sweet potato fries, capsicum, tomato & feta salad

Today’s doula offering looked like slow simmering pots, grounding root vegetables, herbs infused with intention, and nourishing meals created to hold a family through this season of life 🌿✨

I truly believe food carries energy. The way we are nourished in pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, grief, transition, healing, and everyday life matters deeply. A warm meal can feel like regulation for the nervous system, a deep exhale for the body, and a reminder that you do not have to carry everything alone.

The state’s health watchdog has ordered doctors and midwives to support women who refuse medical treatment during pregnancy and childbirth, even if it risks permanently harming their unborn babies.

The Safer Care Victoria guidelines, which quietly came into effect this month and is the first document of its kind in the state, coincide with growing concerns about the prevalence of birth trauma and an anecdotal rise in the number of women choosing “freebirths” outside the hospital system to avoid unwanted interventions.
