So many women don’t realise how uncomfortable slowing down has become until they actually TRY to do it.

And the very second there’s a quiet moment, they reach for their phone, or start cleaning 🤪, organise something, work more or find something…anything else to do 😅

When your nervous system is so wound up with doing, rushing and pushing, it becomes the norm and it becomes comfortable. So our body seeks more of the same.

But it isn’t sustainable. At some point your body will snap because it wasn’t meant to function this way non stop.

So if you watched this reel and thought ‘that’s me’ maybe sit with these questions for a moment and create some awareness around what is actually driving this busyness pattern.

Feeling exhausted, anxious, not being able to sleep and irritable all the time is not normal AND you can change it x

Are you taking your iron supplements for maximum absorption? So many people are doing it wrong. Here’s how to do it right 👏

Constantly taking iron supplements but your blood results aren’t improving? 😴

These are the most common mistakes we see in clinic when it comes to taking iron…*cough* please stop taking your iron with your tea *cough*.

Are you guilty of any of these? 🫣

Share this with your iron deficient friends so they don’t make the same mistakes.

I think a lot of women become so used to being in survival mode that slowing down almost starts to feel uncomfortable.

Always thinking about the next thing, always rushing and carrying the mental load 🤯

And after a while, the body can start to forget what calm actually feels like 😮‍💨

We see this a lot with women struggling with bloating, fatigue, hormone imbalances, sleep, anxiety and feeling completely wired by the end of the day.

And that’s because the body doesn’t separate emotional stress from physical stress.

Sometimes healing isn’t about adding MORE, it’s about doing less and creating some space (no matter how small) to allow your body to remember what calm feels like again.

Feeling anxious? It’s not necessarily just in your head!

🧠 Anxiety can stem from several root causes, like:

🥲 Poor Digestion: A struggling gut affects SCFAs, hormones, and vagus nerve signaling, which can hit your mood hard.

😴 Sleep Issues: We all know the feeling after a bad night's sleep: cranky, irritable, and anxious. Lack of sleep ramps up anxiety in multiple ways.

🧬 Genetic Variations: Genes like MTHFR, COMT, and GAD can make detoxifying harder, increasing your anxiety risk.

🥑 Nutrient Deficiencies: Missing out on magnesium, B vitamins, omega-3s and other nutrients can impact neurotransmitters and stress management, fueling anxiety.

😡 Hormone Imbalances: Thyroid, adrenal, insulin, and s*x hormones can all influence your mood.

🔥 Inflammation: Chronic inflammation can mess with neurotransmitters and the HPA axis, contributing to anxiety.

It’s a lot to take in, but this is where a Nutritionist can support you! Let’s get to the root cause together ❤️

It’s normal to feel burnt out, anxious, foggy, fatigued, and not able to sleep if the stressors you are experiencing are beyond your body’s capacity to endure it.

Instead of criticising yourself for not being able to relentlessly go a million miles an hour like ‘everyone else’ (which is unrealistic and unsustainable btw!) ask your body:

What do you need right now?
How can I support you?
What nourishment do you need?

And notice how that feels instead ❤️

So incredibly proud of this woman 🥹

Sharon has come so far since the first session we had together ❤️ No more panic attacks, way more confidence in herself and her abilities and has developed a supportive toolkit to manage her stress levels.

It still blows me away watching the transformation my clients experience with regular kinesiology sessions & a commitment to the inner work.

The best way to see if kinesiology is going to work for you is to try it!

Did you know that according to Chinese medicine our emotions are like currents of a river.

When they flow freely they nourish their surroundings, but if they’re bottled up and stifled they block the river’s flow causing stagnation in the body. This can manifest as:

✖️Anxiety & panic attacks
✖️Anger outbursts
✖️Depression
✖️Chronic pain in the body
✖️Gut issues

Our emotions are DESIGNED to find expression, how can you find a way to let yours flow this week? ✨
