🔥 THE FIRE ELEMENT IN ACUPRESSURE 🔥
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Fire element is connected with warmth, joy, connection, passion and creativity.
It is associated with the Heart, Small Intestine, Pericardium and Triple Burner meridians, and is often linked with our capacity for connection, communication and emotional expression.
When Fire is balanced, we may feel:
🌿 Warm and connected
🌿 Joyful and expressive
🌿 Able to rest and sleep well
🌿 Energised without feeling overwhelmed
When Fire feels out of balance, some people may notice restlessness, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, emotional overwhelm or a sense of disconnection.
Acupressure offers gentle ways to bring awareness back to the body. Points such as HT7, located at the wrist crease on the little-finger side, are traditionally associated with calming and settling the Heart energy. Apply gentle, comfortable pressure while breathing slowly. Never press into pain, and stop if anything feels uncomfortable.
Acupressure is one of the modality I use when appropriate in a table work session.
Have you noticed your inner Fire feeling a little low, restless or overactive lately? 🔥
