Ask most people who's on their support team and they'll name the doctor. Then they stop.

But the team is always bigger. The neighbour with the spare key. The cousin who does Thursdays. The support worker who knows the routine better than anyone. The friend who answers at midnight.

Who to call first. The GP and the pharmacy. Who has a key. Who knows the routine well enough to run a day without being talked through it. Who handles the money and the forms.

And two that surprise people. "Who not to call, and why", because most families have one number that makes a hard day harder. And "Who to call for you", the box almost everyone leaves blank.

Half of it is probably already on your fridge, next to the takeaway menu. This just puts it in an order.

We want to be clear about what Support Plus is, and what it isn't.
It doesn't replace you. What you bring to someone's care can't be replaced. The history you carry. The instinct. The way you know what they need before they ask.
But the knowledge you carry shouldn't only live in your head.
Support Plus gives it somewhere safe to live, so nothing is ever lost, even if you can't be there.

We don't replace carers. We back them up.
