When I fell pregnant, I made myself a promise. I would NOT come last.
You know the narrative - the second you become a mum, p**f, you disappear.
Your needs go straight to the bottom of the list, it’s all nappies and feeds and “but what about the baby,” and somewhere in there YOU just vanish into thin air.
Like that’s the deal you apparently signed up for. Yeah, no thanks.
So I held boxing pads until I was 39 weeks pregnant, still showing up for PT sessions, still providing for my team, basically waddling around with a full belly going hard.
Two weeks postpartum, back to nourishing my body properly.
Six weeks postpartum, the SECOND I got cleared, back in the gym.
Not to “bounce back,” not to punish myself, but because I decided from day one that I mattered too.
Revolutionary concept, I know.
And here’s the part nobody tells you, it changed everything.
I’ve had the most incredible postpartum, I’ve still smashed my goals, still run the business, still feel absolutely unreal.
Because I never abandoned myself to do it.
Funny how that works.
So this is me telling you, you’re allowed to be a priority. You don’t lose yourself the second you become a mum, and that whole “mums come last” story? Not cute, and literally not true.
The fuller your cup, the more you’ve got to pour.
Into your kids, your family, the life you actually want. You can’t pour from empty my loves, and you were never meant to.
If you want to stop putting yourself last and finally achieve your fat loss goals whilst juggling the kids, the errands and work, follow the link in my bio and book a call. Let’s go 🫶🏽
