Massage can relieve many painful symptoms and help you manage a range of conditions such as: muscle tension, chronic back pain, inflammation, pain and stiffness, stress, headache, joint mobility and flexibility, recovery from injury, and improved circulation. It is a form of manual therapy that includes holding, moving and applying pressure to the muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia through a wide variety of assessment and massage techniques. Remedial Massage is the objective assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of the signs, symptoms and causes of biomechanical dysfunction or injury in order to restore normal health and function and improve wellbeing, health and pain symptoms. Relaxation/therapeutic Massage is designed to promote relaxation and improve circulation. Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a slow and rhythmical contact technique which helps to relax the blood and lymph vessels, dilating the lymph vessels and increasing the pulsation rate. This increased pulsation leads to accelerated lymph flow which assists the body to recreate fluid balance in the tissue. A stagnant lymphatic flow places unnecessary stress on our body and a damaged or overloaded lymphatic flow can lead to blockage or swelling (oedema).

In a couple of weeks I will be heading off to Adelaide for a weekend of learning oncology scar tissue massage using the Restore Therapy Training methods.
Upon my return I need a few volunteers for case studies in order for me to complete my training.
