Remedial Massage is the objective assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of the signs, symptoms and causes of biomechanical dysfunction or injury in order to restore normal health and function and improve wellbeing, health and pain symptoms. Relaxation/therapeutic Massage is designed to promote relaxation and improve circulation. Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a slow and rhythmical contact technique which helps to relax the blood and lymph vessels, dilating the lymph vessels and increasing the pulsation rate. This increased pulsation leads to accelerated lymph flow which assists the body to recreate fluid balance in the tissue. A stagnant lymphatic flow places unnecessary stress on our body and a damaged or overloaded lymphatic flow can lead to blockage or swelling (oedema).

For my birthday last year I was lucky enough to be gifted a private tour at the Kaarakin Cockatoo Sanctuary. For anyone who doesn't know me very well I must mention that my favourite bird is the red tail cockatoo. I invited some of my fellow bird lovers, friends and loyal clients to join me on this fabulous tour. It did not disappoint. Sam, our guide, spoke so passionately about the rehabilitation program, and we all learnt a great deal about how and why the cockatoos are becoming an endangered species. Of course, the favourite part of the tour was the chance to enter an aviary with a number of the birds that are unable to be reintroduced to the wild. Such a unforgettable day with a bunch of amazing ladies.
