There is something incredibly powerful about Warrior II : even from a chair. ✨

Seated Warrior II reminds us that strength is not about perfection, flexibility, or standing on a yoga mat. Strength can look like showing up for yourself exactly as you are. 💛

This supported Chair Yoga pose helps create stability, posture awareness, and gentle strength throughout the body while keeping movement accessible and supported.

Caught yourself in the "office hunch" again today?

We’ve all been there. You’re focused on your screen, and before you know it, your shoulders are up at your ears and your neck feels like it’s made of stone.

At The Chair Yoga Institute, we believe movement should be accessible and simple: even when you’re in the middle of a busy workday. You don't need to get down on the floor or change into gym gear to find some relief.

Try these three quick moves right at your desk:

1. The Gentle Tilt: Sit tall and slowly drop your right ear toward your right shoulder. Hold for three breaths and switch sides.
2. Shoulder Rolls: Inhale as you lift your shoulders to your ears, then exhale as you roll them back and down. Feel that space opening up!
3. Seated Twist: Place your left hand on your right knee and gently look over your right shoulder. Keep it soft and easy.

Taking just two minutes to reset can change how your whole afternoon feels. Your neck (and your posture) will thank you!

Seated Mountain Pose with Raised Hands is a beautiful reminder that even while seated, we can still create length, strength, and energy throughout the body.

With both feet grounded firmly on the floor and arms reaching gently toward the sky, this pose encourages us to sit taller, breathe deeper, and reconnect with our posture and presence. 💛

This simple Chair Yoga pose can help:

This beautiful beginner-friendly pose can help:

I often call poses like this “little moments of exhale” : simple practices we can return to anytime life feels busy, overwhelming, or noisy.

One of the biggest myths about yoga is that you need to twist yourself into a pretzel before you even begin.

You don’t.

Chair Yoga is about meeting your body where it is today : whether you’re feeling stiff, tired, recovering from injury, carrying extra weight, managing pain, or simply wanting a gentler way to move.
