Tulouega Tatau Faamausili Aiga Traditional Samoan Tattoos

Based in Perth, Western Australia

Hi everyone and welcome to FAAMAUSILI ink, please like and share the page with fellow tattoo lovers, some of our tattoos are done with the traditional tool called the au, for those who dont know what that means its an instrument that we use to tatt with, which can be made from a pigs tooth or turtle shell, and the new Moden are made out of the neddies this page to share some of the work my father,

brother and i have done through our years of tattooing and also some recent ones as well. My father Tulouega Peni Faamausili started tattooing at the age of 30 and is still going strong today! My brother started tattooing at the age of 17 and I started at the age of 14, from then on i have always wanted to follow my dads foot steps and carry out our family legacy ta tatau.we are the original ta Tatau sa tulouega most of others we passed it down to them

feel free to ask any questions you all wanted to understand about our family and where it came from faafetai

There comes a moment in every Tatau journey when the body wants to stop, but the heart remembers why it began.

That’s where true strength is found, not in the absence of pain, but in the purpose behind every strike.

A journey carried with pride, respect, and love for our culture 🤝🏾🇼🇸

Identity isn’t measured by what people see on the outside 🇼🇸

Proud to see this uso embrace his Samoan culture by going under the au for his first traditional Tatau. A journey that honours his family, his people, and who he is 🤝🏾

🇦🇺✈️🇳🇿 AUCKLAND TOUR

Looking forward to crossing the Tasman and sharing my passion for Tatau Samoa with our aiga in Aotearoa. Every tatau is more than markings on our skin. It carries identity, genealogy, strength, and the stories of those who came before us. It’s a privilege to honour those stories through this sacred journey.

Fa’afetai tele lava to everyone who’s entrusted me with their journey next month. Your trust, support, and belief in my work mean more than words can express, and I’m truly grateful.

Can’t wait to see you all soon, share in our culture, and create pieces that will be carried with pride for generations to come.

Auckland, I’ll see you very soon. Alofa atu 🇼🇸🤝🏽🇳🇿

My son may not understand it all yet…

But one day he’ll understand his culture, the meaning behind it, and the responsibility of a Tufuga Ta Tatau in keeping our traditions alive 🔥🇼🇸🦇

From my hands to hers 💛

Learning the craft of being a koso is just the beginning 🌱

This is how legacy lives on 🇼🇸🔥

Today marks one year without you Dad, and there’s not a single day I don’t miss you 😢

I miss your voice, your presence, and the wisdom you shared with me. Some days feel heavier than others, but no matter what, I carry you with me in everything I do.

Your lessons live in my hands, your strength lives in my heart and your legacy lives on through every piece I create. Your legacy didn’t end with you, it lives on through me. I will carry it forward and pass it down to my children, just as you did for me.

I love you always, Dad. Rest in Peace 🕊️💙

This wasn’t just his journey, it became theirs too 🤝🏾

Allowing his sons to be part of the process, to feel every tap alongside their father.

That’s where the real meaning of malofie lives, in family, in legacy & in passing it on 💯🇼🇸🦇
