We’re looking forward to being part of Connecting Community, Stronger Together tomorrow at the Mundaring Arena!

We’ll be facilitating a collaborative community artwork, inviting young people to help paint a large canvas celebrating 50 years of NAIDOC Week. Each person will add their own splash of colour, creating one artwork made from many individual contributions.

Alongside our activity, there’ll be plenty happening throughout the morning, including climbing and play activities, a silent disco, sensory play, face painting, NAIDOC experiences, and the chance to connect with the many wonderful organisations supporting families across the Shire of Mundaring.

If you’re local, come along, say hello, and add your mark to the canvas. We’d love to see you there! 🎨

Receiving feedback like this is something we never take for granted.

Over the past two years, we’ve had the privilege of sharing creative, mindfulness-based workshops with young people Perth Children's Hospital . Along the way, we’ve met some incredible staff who care deeply about the wellbeing of the young people they support every day.

A massive thank you to Emily for allowing us to share these kind words. 🙏🏽

It’s been a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team, and we’re grateful to the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation for supporting a program that created space for creativity, connection and meaningful conversations.

Here’s to continuing to champion the role of creativity in supporting health and wellbeing. 🎨💛🩵

Over the past two years, we’ve had the privilege of delivering our mindfulness-based art workshops within the adolescent mental health wards at Perth Children's Hospital

Each week, we create a space where young people can slow down, pick up a pencil or paint pen and simply create.

Along the way, we explore gentle themes like gratitude, compassion, mindfulness, self-expression, and connection. Sometimes the conversations flow naturally. Sometimes the artwork does the talking. Sometimes it’s enough just to sit quietly and make something with our hands.

We’ve consistently seen how creativity can help people settle into the present moment, reduce stress, build confidence, and create opportunities for meaningful connection, without any pressure to be “good at art.”

One of the things we’re most proud of is hearing from hospital staff about the positive shift in energy they notice after the sessions, and seeing young people who may have been hesitant at first gradually find their own way into the creative process.

Experiences like these continue to remind us that making time to create can be a simple but powerful part of supporting wellbeing.

Massive thank you to the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation for their support with the program. 💛🤎

Term 2 - To The Beat Wrap up 🎨🌈

We had so much fun practicing yoga, mindfulness, and playing with art.

We even had the privilege of welcoming local legend Ric Burkitt as our guest artist to share his skills and knowledge with the group. 😀

Thanks also to Julia, the The shire of mundaring shire and Shire of Mundaring Youth AdultCreative&LearningCenter for assisting and supporting this program. 🙂❤️

Lovely to hear how teens experience our sessions.

We’re super grateful to be able create the spaces where they can explore, express, discover and feel safe along the way. 🙂🙏🏽

Sharing mindfulness and creativity with teenagers is so inspiring!

Week after week, we’re reminded just how thoughtful, creative and open they can be when they’re given a safe space to slow down, create and connect.

We’re excited to be launching Term 2 of To The Beat 🎨🧘‍♂️

A mindfulness-based creative program for teens, designed to support young people to slow down, tune in, and express themselves through art, movement, and creative exploration.

Across the term, we explore simple mindfulness principles in a relaxed, hands-on way, helping participants build awareness, confidence, and tools they can carry into everyday life. There’s no pressure and no experience needed, just space to show up and create in your own way.

✨ Free program (funded by Shire of Mundaring)
✨ Ages 11–17
✨ Perth Hills

We can’t wait to begin another term of creativity, connection, and mindful exploration. 🙂

Always nice to hear how the sessions are experienced by the teens.

It’s really just about slowing down, creating, and noticing the little things along the way, in art, in conversation, and in everyday life. 🙂

🌅✨ Sunset Series – Kalamunda Shire ✨🌅

We had an amazing time being part of the Sunset Series, six free outdoor movie nights bringing the community together under the stars! 🌟

Alongside the movies, we ran creative art activities for kids and teens, giving everyone a chance to pause, play, and make something colorful while enjoying the evening. 🎨

It was wonderful to see the community spirit alive and well! Families and friends gathering, relaxing, and soaking up the sunset vibes.

A huge thank you to Maz and the team for making it happen, and to everyone who joined in for the movies and creativity!
