World Mental Health Day â¤ď¸
My life hasnât been a straight line.
An abusive stepfather in my teens. Leaving home young. Losing my dad. An eating disorder. Substance abuse. Divorce. Single motherhood. Another emotionally abusive relationship that left me feeling stuck during COVID. And now navigating the changes that come with perimenopause.
Each chapter has challenged me in ways I couldnât have imagined.
But each one has also driven me to understand myself more deeply. To learn, to heal, to question old patterns and to find my way back to myself.
Iâm not someone who has it all figured out. I still have days when I struggle.
But today, Iâm stepping into my power in a way I never have before.
My lived experiences have given me a depth of understanding and compassion that I bring into my work supporting women who are overwhelmed, exhausted and have spent years being the strong one for everyone else.
I know what itâs like to keep going when life feels heavy. And I know how easy it is to lose yourself along the way.
Thatâs why this work matters to me.
Our lived experiences donât disqualify us. Sometimes, they become part of what allows us to connect with, understand and support others.
So today, if youâre the woman who looks like sheâs coping but is quietly struggling, this is your reminder that you matter too.
You donât have to wait until youâre falling apart to ask for support.
And please, check on your friends. Not just the ones who are visibly struggling, but the ones who always seem to have it together.
Sometimes, theyâre the ones who need someone to ask, âBut how are YOU really doing?â â¤ď¸
