A little drama this morning! 🦆🦊🐦

As I looked out over the paddock, planting my seeds before starting my workday, I noticed the plovers with their two little babies. Sadly, there were three just a few days ago.

Yesterday morning, the plovers were making an enormous fuss. I looked out to see a fox quite blatantly trying to get to their babies.

Then this morning, I spotted the ducks with their tiny ducklings wandering away from the water, when suddenly a crow swooped in, trying to take one of their little ones.

Both Mum and Dad duck sprang into action to protect their babies, and even the plover parents joined in for a little bit!

I'm not sure how it all ended, as the ducks eventually made their way through the fence and into the trees for protection. Fingers crossed all the little ones are safe. 🤞

Oh, what parents have to go through, whatever the species!

Living surrounded by nature is such a privilege. It's beautiful, fascinating, sometimes heartbreaking, and a constant reminder that life isn't always peaceful, even in the countryside.

Is anyone else keeping a close eye on their health?

I’m constantly monitoring mine, particularly since having a health scare two years ago. I use a Hume Band to see how things are tracking, and today I noticed that my “Body Cell Mass” seems to have been steadily improving over the past few months. Woo hoo!

So, what might be helping?

🍵 Green tea — After hearing that the late Queen drank a cup every day, I thought I’d give it a try!

💊 NMN supplements — Although I only remember to take them sporadically.

🐠 Eating mackerel - Could it be this oily fish?

🔴 Red light therapy — I’ve started having full-body sessions more regularly, around two or three times a fortnight.

🧁 Baking my treats from scratch — I’ve stopped buying store-bought cakes and biscuits, apart from dark chocolate and the choc chips in my baking!

⚽ Playing soccer with my son — My competitive spirit actually makes me run, and it’s about the only time I do! 🤣

Maybe it’s a combination of everything—or perhaps something else entirely??

Feel good alert!
