✨ It's been 12 months since I launched "Your Root Cause" and what a journey it has been.

But the story actually started much earlier...
I sold a successful skin business because I wanted to understand why so many women were still struggling with their skin.
After years of working as a skin therapist, I noticed a pattern. Many women were doing all the "right" things externally, yet they were still struggling with acne, rosacea, eczema, inflammation, pigmentation, or premature ageing.
That's when I realised the answer often isn't always found on the surface.

So, I went to university to study Intergrative Nutrition to better understand what was happening inside the body and how it impacts the skin.

Twelve months ago, I took everything I'd learnt and created Your Root Cause a business built on the belief that true skin health comes from looking at the whole picture.

Today, I combine my passion for skin treatments with a holistic approach that looks beyond the surface.
🌿 Custom Skin Treatments
🌿 Gut Health Testing
🌿 Food Sensitivity Testing
🌿 Functional Nutrition Support
🌿 Practitioner-Only Supplements🌿 Personalised Wellness Plans

Because your skin is often a reflection of what's happening internally.
When we address factors like gut health, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, food sensitivities, stress, hormones, and lifestyle, we can begin to uncover the root cause, not just manage the symptoms.
One year in, I'm more passionate than ever about helping people feel confident in their skin and empowered in their health.

Thank you to every client who has trusted me with their journey so far. 💛

🌶️Pantry Swap of the Week🌶️
Taco Seasoning

Did you know that food labels list ingredients in order of quantity?
That means the first ingredient is what the product contains the most of, followed by the second, third, and so on.

When you look at the ingredient lists side by side, one starts with sugar and fillers, while the other starts with herbs and spices.

This isn't about being perfect or never eating certain foods. It's simply about becoming more aware of what's in the products we use every day and making small swaps where we can.

A packet of taco seasoning might seem insignificant, but these little choices add up over time.
Choosing products with simple, recognisable ingredients is an easy way to support your health without giving up the meals you love.

🌿 Remember: healthy living doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it's as simple as turning the packet over and reading the ingredients.

Acne is often more than skin deep.

While nutrients like zinc, vitamin A, iron and omega-3s can absolutely support healthy skin… they’re often just one piece of a bigger picture.

For some, acne can also be linked with gut imbalances, inflammation, food sensitivities or underlying nutrient depletion.

At Your Root Cause, we use tools like:
✨ blood test reviews
✨ gut testing
✨ food sensitivity testing
…to help uncover possible root causes and create a personalised plan that supports your skin from the inside out.

Your skin is communicating, sometimes we just need the right pieces to understand the message 🤍
