We acknowledge that there is a high and growing rate of diabetes in the Filipino community, particularly in the Western Sydney region. Diabetes is a condition that affects our family and our friends, both in the Philippines and in Australia. Through our community forums and social media presence, we aim to create a much-needed change in our culture and educate the community on how to eat healthier, be more active and reduce the risk of diabetes and its complications. The Filipino Australian Diabetes Support Network is endorsed by Western Sydney Diabetes in Blacktown-Mt Druitt Hospital and the Philippine Australian Medical Association.
