So I am on the waitlist for a POTS, cardiovascular specialist doctor.

And while I have no clue how I am going to afford it, all I can think about is the last 20 + years of appointments and gaslighting.

Like the one time I waited a year for a “pain specialist” and they put me with a gyno. And she said have you tried the pill. I didn’t speak a word I just exited the appointment and closed the door.

Anyone else?
My last hospital visit for serve chest pain, and elevated heart rate and blood pressure.

They discharged me back to my GP claiming that no doctor could admit me because they don’t know how to hand my complex conditions.

But thankfully through my community I have an appointment with a doctor who deals with these conditions. But going to have to save up for even the first appointment 😣😪

There should be better care for people suffering these conditions. I have never felt more scared or worried. Because I would stand up and faint and my chest pain has been so bad.

I fell unconscious in the waiting room from chest pain and no one knew.

Arrived on Saturday night at the hospital around 11pm. I could barely keep my eyes open after throwing up from the pain for 4 hours straight.

I made it known I have bad chest pain and 10/10 pain.

Then put me on the waiting room chairs and left me there. No one came to monitor my observations because I present with bad abdominal pain, and chest pain.

I then couldn’t fight consciousness and fell unconscious from all the fluid I lost. Then stumbled up to the window telling the nurse I have fractured ribs and cannot sleep or sit on the chairs anymore.

She said that they were very busy. At this pain it was 2 am and this was my 4th hospital trip in 6 days.

My body was so heavy from exhaustion I left, scared not knowing what is wrong but more concerned that they are so quick to dismiss women’s pain.

I understand they are under staffed and need more resources. But I feel as though they out my health at risk and were neglectful.

Love this quote from , how having a chronic illness can isolate us and take away so much.

Because unless you have experienced the loneliness of a waiting room at 2am begging them to believe your pain. Then most don’t understand.

When you on the verge of a mental break if you hear one more time “your blood tests look normal”.

Yeah okay so why did I collapse in a pool of my own vomit and fall unconscious? Cannot stand up without passing out and have 10/10 chest pain?

Asking for a friend.

I spent the whole night sleeping on a raw of hospital chairs, with fractured ribs and chest pain… they just left me to sit there despite not being able to breath from pain.

The public health care system will be the death of me… like actually. Because I cannot figure out what’s wrong and I am only getting worse.

Any ideas?
I know I have POTS, and I have 4 fractured ribs, my resting heart rate is 102bpm - 120bpm.
And I am nauseas couldn’t stop throwing up till I passed out.
