This is me on the table.โจ
Receiving.โจ
Which if Iโm honest, is one of the hardest things I do.โจ
Giving feels natural to me. Holding space for others, witnessing, supporting, thatโs where I feel most at home.โจโจBut being on the receiving end?โจLetting someone else in?โจAllowing myself to soften in front of another person?
After everything Iโve been throughโฆ
Thatโs where it gets harder.โจ
This particular session was deep. Something moved that needed to move, and I didnโt see it coming.โจ
What I do know is thisโฆ I canโt ask my clients to go somewhere Iโm not willing to go myself. I canโt hold space for vulnerability if Iโm not doing my own work. I canโt speak about softening if Iโm still keeping my own armour on.โจ
This work asks something of me too.โจ
And sometimes the most important thing I can do as a practitioner is lie down, let go, and trust the process the same way I ask you to.โจ
If youโve been finding it hard to take that first step, I understand that more than you know.โจ
My inbox is always open ๐โจ
With gratitude,โจTanya
