A portrait can tell a powerful story.
This NAIDOC Week, we're highlighting First Nations artist Robert Fielding & his Archibald Prize Finalist work, Tjintir-Tjintir.
The portrait depicts Mr Adrian Dodd, a ceremonial dancer & teacher known for sharing the Willie Wagtail story. Through his work, Mr Dodd helps keep cultural knowledge, stories & traditions alive for future generations.
Fielding's artwork reminds us that stories matter. They connect us to culture, community & each other.
As we celebrate 50 Years of Deadly, we're taking time to recognise the artists & cultural leaders whose contributions continue to strengthen & preserve Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander cultures across Australia.
