It's an exciting month for new recruits, and now we welcome Ipsa ๐ฅณ๐ถ๐ณ๐ณ
"Hi, Iโm Ipsa. I am currently completing postgraduate counselling studies, with particular interests in grief, intergenerational patterns, immigrants and the mental health of older adults. My pathway into counselling began in clinical research in oncology, where I spent many years working closely with patients and families navigating diagnosis, treatment decisions, and uncertainty. This background has deeply shaped my respect for peopleโs stories, resilience, and the importance of clear, compassionate communication in times of vulnerability.
My decision to join Walk and Talk for Wellness grew out of a belief that gentle movement, fresh air and compassionate conversation can create powerful shifts in how we feel and how we see our lives. I bring a warm and downโtoโearth approach to my sessions, aiming to create a safe, nonโjudgemental space where you can move at your own paceโphysically and emotionally.
Alongside my counselling training, I have a strong personal and academic interest in holistic wellness, including nutrition, which helps me understand how life transitions, health, and mood are often interconnected. I enjoy walking alongside people who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of their next step, and working together to notice small shifts in perspective, selfโcompassion and hope. Whether you prefer quiet reflection or talking things through, my focus is on supporting you to feel heard, respected and empowered in the beautiful natural spaces we walk in together."
