Consultation is open for the November 2026 Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) meeting and BUDESONIDE - Jorveza® oral suspension is on the agenda. This is a new oral suspension form of budesonide (BOS) for the treatment of patients with eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE).

The PBAC welcomes input for their consideration when making their decision.

Please consider completing the online survey to share your personal journey living with EoE, or as a parent/carer of a child living with EoE, to let the PBAC know the impact living with EoE has on you and your family and what a difference it would make if Jorveza® oral suspension was listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).

Input can be submitted via the online survey, which can be accessed at: https://ohta-consultations.health.gov.au/ohta/pbac-november-2026/

For Question 7, please select ‘BUDESONIDE - Jorveza®: Eosinophilic oesophagitis’ from the medicine list.

Supporter Spotlight: Kathleen from Milly’s Girl 💜

On Top 8 Challenge Day, 8 August, Kathleen from Milly’s Girl held a special fundraiser at The Nest Markets. Kathleen creates beautiful handmade jewellery and made some special pieces in our eosinophil-associated disease awareness colours of pink and purple, with sales from the fundraiser donated to ausEE Inc.

This cause is especially close to Kathleen’s heart, with both of her sons living with eosinophilic oesophagitis. We’re incredibly grateful to Kathleen for turning her passion for handmade jewellery into an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for research.

Thank you, Kathleen, for taking on our Top 8 Challenge and making the day extra special! 💜
