Our mischievous walker has turned us into pirates this time. 😂

We walk around the inside of the Gippsland Centre for 30mins every Monday and Friday from 8.30ish am before stopping for a coffee.

If we’re not near the seats inside the centre between Woolies and Priceline at 8.30, you’ll find us walking somewhere in the centre. Just pop on over and join in like Val did on Friday.

Free CPR and AED awareness session – Tuesday 18 August 1 – 2.30pm AEST

You and your walkers are invited to attend this free CPR and AED awareness session exclusively for Heart Foundation Walking participants.

In this one-hour session, our Heart of the Nation volunteer community trainers will guide you through the simple steps of calling, pushing, and shocking. You’ll walk away with the confidence to step in if someone collapses – because turning bystanders into responders is what saves lives.

What to expect:

Learn the difference between a heart attack and cardiac arrest
Understand how to recognise when someone needs CPR
Get hands-on practice with CPR and an AED (defibrillator)
Build the confidence to act when it matters most
This opportunity will be promoted in the next Walking newsletter – but I’m aware that not all walkers receive it. Please feel free to share the link below with walkers that are interested in attending.
