✨ Week 5. The roof needs to be replaced. Awesome!. ✨

This week I learned that “waiting on other people” is basically a full time job. 😐

Here’s the weekly chaos report…

📋 Great news from the town planner - the business permit is moving to council advertising. Progress!! 🙌

🙄 Got stood up. Multiple times. By multiple people. On Facebook Marketplace. I am not surprised but bloody over it.

🚒 Had a visit from the fire services compliance guy. (I don’t know his official title. He had a uniform. That’s all I know. 😂)

🏚️ The plumbers came for what was supposed to be a 2 day roof repair. Stayed a few hours. Turns out the roof isn’t fixable. The roof needs to be replaced. Cool cool cool cool cool.
And yes that is a swimming pool forming inside the studio. I’m considering changing the permit application. 🏊‍♀️😂

🎨 In much more exciting news… PAINT COLOURS. Actual real decisions about actual real beautiful things. 🥰

💪 Spent time this week with some absolute powerhouse women - networking, connecting, filling the cup. The kind of conversations that reminded me exactly why I’m doing this. 🙌

And to add to the week… other life grenades came through thick and fast… I spent time feeling, processing and moving through all of it.

I went to the end of the street today and watched the ocean for a bit. It was wild and windy and the waves were crashing and all over the shop… just like I was feeling whilst standing there.

But just like the ocean I keep moving. Flowing. Trusting the process… even when the roof is literally falling apart. 💙🦋

✨ One month in. The carpet is GONE. ✨

A whole month of Edithvale magic and mayhem! 🥹😂

Recruited the most legendary, don’t-mess-with-me Aries energy .jv__ to help me annihilate that carpet. She did not come to play. 😂
More Bunnings visits. Obviously.
😤 Cracked the sh*ts at blunt blades! They don’t work well on carpet! Go figure!!
The roof… is STILL holding! 🙌 We don’t talk about it too loudly. 🤞
And then Nally walked in. My beautiful interior designer from came through with samples and suddenly everything became real. Like actually, tangibly, touchable real. I may have gotten a bit teary…. Again. 🥹

It’s all very surreal.

One month ago I got the keys to an empty, leaky, grafittied space and somehow it already feels like it has a heartbeat. 💜

I used to think self-care was something you did once you were already overwhelmed and fu***ng done with it all.

Now I see it differently.

Self-care is noticing.

Noticing when I’m holding too much.

When my body is tight.

When my throat closes.

When emotions are building instead of moving.

Because if I don’t listen…

My body eventually speaks louder and cracks the sh*ts!

Chakradance™ is one of the ways I come back to myself.

Not once….

But again…

And again…

And again 🩵

Last night was beautiful 🥰

And what I loved seeing…

Was that three women chose to simply lie down and rest.

No pushing or performing or needing to keep going.
Just resting.

And honestly… I think that says a lot about where so many women are right now.

Exhausted.

Holding so much.

Longing for permission to soften.

Every Chakradance™ journey reminds me this work isn’t about dancing perfectly.

It’s about creating space for the body to exhale.

We have one final space remaining for next Monday’s EXPRESS journey ✨
