Many years ago a friend introduced me to Qigong to help ease my chronic pain and symptoms.
It gave me the opportunity to slow down and re connect with my body. I was able to feel safe in my body and learn to relax after years of being stuck on high alert and in flight and fight mode. It helped calm my mind so I could finally return to a state of rest and digest. It gave me the space to release the emotions attached to chronic pain. I felt calmer, less fearful, more engaged and connected than ever before. It taught me to allow and accept the unpleasant sensations in my body and rather than fearing them I could embrace and nurture them which helped reduce the severity. The benefits were so powerful, I trained in Qigong and became a qualified Qigong teacher. Now I teach others this beautiful ancient calming technique. It has given me so much more than pain relief and I’m so grateful for Qigong.
If you’re curious to learn Qigong, come along and try a class. I teach classes in my home studio in Seaford. I’ve created a cosy, safe space where people can relax and practice these calming techniques. Classes are small and intimate and I love the beautiful community of “Qigong-ers” who come along each week and practice. You don’t need experience in Qigong, Im here to guide you.
