Dress for Success Illawarra .illawarra has been close to my heart for a long time now.

What they do is quiet and practical. A woman walks in before a job interview, and she walks out dressed, prepared and feeling like herself again. That changes how her whole day goes, and often a lot more than that.

Supporting them has always been part of how we want to run this clinic. Giving back locally matters more to me than most of the things we could put that money towards.

So when the team needed new aprons, that was an easy yes.

The volunteers will be wearing them all weekend at Super Fashion Frenzy, 17 and 18 October at the Illawarra Yacht Club. Every bargain someone picks up helps put another local woman back into work.

IPL, laser and electrolysis are not three versions of the same thing. Two reduce hair. One removes it.

IPL and laser work by targeting pigment in the hair, so they reduce growth over time, particularly on dark hair. Electrolysis treats each follicle directly, which is why it is recognised as permanent hair removal and why it works on hair of any colour.

have donated one of their home LED masks to the live auction at What Women Want, and this year it is one of the Advanced masks.

They have only just launched, so ours will be among the first, and it will be on the auction table on 25 October.

The Advanced range is built around lifting, firming and tightening, so it suits anyone working on ageing skin. If it is not the right mask for whoever wins it, it can be exchanged for one that is.

A fair bit happened in September, and hardly any of it in a treatment room. Swipe to see what we were up to ➡️



Karen went to Sydney for the Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards thechampionawards, where we were named a finalist in Beauty Services. Although not winning this time, she came home with her glass full anyway. She spent most of it at a table with friends from Bliss Day Spa Bliss Day Spa Caringbah, Temple Day Spa Temple Day Spa and Illuminate Skin and Body Illuminate Skin & Body.

Keanah and Pippa spent an afternoon downstairs at Cedar Recovery Studio Cedar Recovery Studio - Shellharbour. Steam, then the sauna, then a very quiet room at the end of it. They are good neighbours, and worth knowing about for when the stress of everyday life gets to you. 💚

We won the Phorest Software Phorest Client Experience Award. It runs on twelve consecutive months of client ratings, March 2025 through to February 2026, with a minimum of sixty reviews behind it. A full year of 5 ⭐️ means the world to us, thank you. A special shoutout to Keanah, collected more reviews than anyone else in the clinic. 👏

Our Kayla has started maternity leave and is due very soon. ❤️ We will share newborn photos once mumma and bubba are ready.

The team also ended up around one long table at Karen’s. She has said before that her love language is cooking for the people she loves, and in September everyone found out what she meant. Good food, a few drinks, and nobody in a hurry to leave. 🤗
