Did you know that our system installation at RNSH has had over 3.8k views! Maybe NucMed scientists get a kick out of fast-motion videos since our images take a little longer to make.
The Veriton400 SPECT CT can complete a whole body bone scan, including processing, in as little as 18 minutes.

Access to clinically timely high-field MRI can be difficult for many reasons. Distance, cost, machine availability, staffing, department hours constraints, transport, ferro-magnetic implants and monitoring equipment, and patient size, to name a few.

MRI plays a crucial role in the diagnosis and monitoring of a diverse range of neurological conditions, such as Alzheimer's disease and MS. Time-critical imaging can affect treatment pathways in traumatic brain injury and stroke.

The latest paper from the Monash Biomedical Imaging Group suggests low-field strength, portable systems, such as the AI-powered Hyperfine Swoop, can bring better access and equity to neuroMRI in low-resource, rural, remote and high-acuity patients.

Low-field portable magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners are more accessible, cost-effective, sustainable with lower carbon emissions than superconducting high-field MRI scanners. However, the images produced have relatively poor image quality, lower signal-to-noise ratio, and limited spatial re...

About time!! Practical and comfortable

Forcing people to wear heels for 12-hour shifts was never about professionalism. It was just tradition nobody questioned.

Japan Airlines announced that staff are now allowed to wear sneakers on duty, ending years of mandatory high heels for cabin crew and ground staff. The change was welcomed by employees who had long dealt with the physical strain of working 12-hour shifts in heels, including walking miles through airports and aircraft cabins.

The decision is part of a broader cultural shift in Japan driven in part by the movement, a campaign against mandatory heel requirements in Japanese workplaces. The name is a play on kutsu (shoes) and kutsuu (pain), echoing the movement. The campaign gained traction after actress and writer Yumi Ishikawa started a petition in 2019 that collected tens of thousands of signatures.

Japan Airlines was one of the first major Japanese carriers to officially drop the heel requirement. The airline said the change reflects its commitment to employee wellbeing and a more modern approach to workplace standards. Staff can now choose comfortable footwear as long as it meets basic safety requirements.
