I’ve got a question about…
Social events
How do I stay safe and still have fun?

Safety can be simple and planned
Know your transport plan
Have a check-in person
Keep your phone charged
Take breaks when you need to

Try this:
Make a 3-step safety plan
Who I’m going with / who knows I’m there
How I’m getting home
What I’ll do if I feel uncomfortable
You deserve fun and safety.

🌟 Meet the Heartbeat of FS Academy: Tayla! 🌟
Six months in and Tayla has officially become the engine room of FS Academy. As our Admin Manager, she's the person who makes the magic happen behind the scenes—and trust us, there's a lot of magic.

From the moment someone calls with an enquiry to their last interaction with us, Tayla is there making sure everything runs like a well-oiled machine. New enrolments? Smooth. Onboarding? Seamless. Support coordinators needing help? Already sorted. Nothing is too hard, and nothing falls through the cracks on her watch.

With a warm smile, solutions-focused energy, and attention to detail that's honestly impressive, Tayla is often the first voice people hear from FS Academy. And that first impression? It sets the tone for everything that follows.
Here's to the person who keeps us all organised, supported, and moving forward. We're so lucky to have you on the team, Tayla! 💙

I’ve got a question about…
Rejection
How do I cope without spiralling?

Rejection hurts — and it’s still not a measure of your worth
Sometimes it’s about timing, preferences, or readiness.
You can feel sad and still be okay.

Try this 10-minute reset:
Drink water
Message a safe person
Do one grounding thing (music, walk, shower)
Then remind yourself: “I’m still lovable.”

Consent is about respect, communication, and being heard. 💙

Whether it's in relationships, friendships, or daily life, everyone deserves to have their boundaries honoured. It's not just a word—it's about making sure both people feel safe, valued, and understood.

At FS Academy, we believe consent conversations are essential for building healthy, respectful relationships. If you'd like to explore this further, our Relationship Skills 1:1 or Date-Ability group programs are here to help.

Your voice matters. Your boundaries matter. You matter. ✨

Meet Emma 🧡
Emma is our Date-Ability facilitator, S*xologist and Counsellor right here in South Australia — and her approach to this work is something special.
As a qualified counsellor, sexologist, and workshop facilitator, Emma brings compassion, curiosity, and real expertise to every session. She has extensive experience supporting people with physical, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities — helping them explore identity, build connections, and feel empowered in their relationships and sexuality.
Her programs are strengths-based, trauma-informed, and genuinely engaging — because this stuff matters, and it should be delivered well.
If you're in SA and looking for:
✨ Date-Ability — our 11-week group relationship education program
🧡 1:1 Relationship Counselling — private, personalised support in McLaren Vale, Prospect and Marion.
We'd love to hear from you.

"It has opened up communication positively with participant about relationships and sensitive topics." 💙

That's the magic of Date-Ability. A safe space to talk, learn, and grow.

Our participants are building confidence, having real conversations, and discovering who they are. And their families are noticing the difference too.

Ready to experience this positive change? Date-Ability is now available in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth for Term 3. Link in bio to learn more! ✨

I’ve got a question about…
Red flags

When should I get support?

Red flags are behaviours that reduce your safety
Pressure, guilt trips, or “prove you love me”
Checking your phone or controlling who you see
Insults, threats, or making you feel small
Ignoring “no” (even small no’s)

Try this:

Tell someone you trust (support worker, friend, family, counsellor).

If you feel unsafe, get help straight away.

You deserve support, not secrecy.
