🌱 FIND YOUR WHY FOR MOVEMENT

Exercise doesn’t have to be about changing the way your body looks.

From an Exercise Physiology perspective, movement can support a range of meaningful health and functional goals, including:
💪 Improving strength
🤝 Supporting participation so you can keep up with family, friends and the activities you enjoy
🧘 Improving mobility and flexibility to help you move with greater confidence
🩹 Managing pain and improving physical function
🎯 Working towards individual goals that are meaningful to you

Exercise is not one-size-fits-all, and the reasons someone chooses to move will be different for everyone.

Your goals, your health, your abilities and your reasons for exercising should all help shape your approach to movement.

Find your why. Find movement that supports it. 🧡💙

From “exercise is bad for bone health” to “older people should avoid lifting heavy weights”, AES Piper and Liv talk us through some common myths and facts that we commonly hear.

At Hobart Exercise Physiology, we believe exercise should be individualised, achievable and appropriate for you, no matter your age, ability or starting point.

Got an exercise myth you want us to bust? Drop it in the comments! 💬

BFR TRAINING 💪🩸
Want to build strength and muscle with lighter loads? Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training can help you do just that.

✨ Potential benefits:
• Supports muscle growth with lighter weights
• Helps improve muscular strength
• Can increase training stimulus without heavy loading
• Useful during rehabilitation or when heavier loads aren’t appropriate
• Time-efficient and versatile

BFR isn’t about lifting heavier, it’s about making lighter loads work harder. 🔥

Ready to see if BFR could fit into your training? Let’s get started. 📞

We’ve been keeping this quiet… 👀 but it’s time to officially share: HEP is expanding! We’re opening a new second site in Lindisfarne! Right now it’s still just bare walls and concrete, but here’s where it’s all going to happen- reception area, offices, and everything in between. So excited to finally share this with you all and give our clients a second home with HEP. Watch this space as we bring it to life over the next few months 🧡
