Recovery from anxiety isn't linear. Some days feel easier, others bring you right back to where you started.

But here's what I know: showing up, even on the hard days, matters.

Even when the anxiety whispered that you couldn't.
Even when you nearly cancelled.
Even when you felt like you were failing at it.

You came back anyway.

That's not weakness. That's one of the bravest things a person can do 💜

This simple grounding technique can help bring you back to the present moment when everything feels overwhelming.

The 5-4-3-2-1 method:

👁️ 5 things you can see around you
👂 4 things you can hear right now
✋ 3 things you can touch or feel
👃 2 things you can smell
👅 1 thing you can taste

Pause. Breathe slowly. Go through each one.

It works because it shifts focus from anxious thoughts back to your body and environment, reminding your nervous system that you are safe, right here, right now.

Keep it in your back pocket for the next time anxiety shows up uninvited 🌱
