We all know the saying, “once in a blue moon” but what does today’s very special Blue Moon actually mean?

Well - and sad to say - it’s not called ‘blue’ due to any actual change in its colour or hue but because it refers to the rare occurrence (every 2-3 years) of a 2nd full moon within one calendar month (we had the first one on the 1st May, the flower moon which was in Scorpio while the sun was in Ta**us so if you’ve been feeling a few ‘heightened emotions’ that may be why💁🏼‍♀️).

This May Blue Moon in Sagittarius highlights the tension between knowledge and belief.

It represents seeking meaning, wisdom, and a broader perspective and examining the stories and assumptions you tell yourself.

It asks whether some beliefs about your life have become accepted as "facts" simply through repetition, even if they are rooted in fear rather than reality.

It encourages questioning the limiting narratives and considering the possibility that your future may be far more open, expansive, and promising than you've imagined.

This Blue Moon is all about freedom, adventure, and discovery.

It rejects anything and everything that feels limiting, which means it’s time to take a good, hard look at those comfort zones because if your current conditions are rooted in fear (eg. limiting beliefs around failure and shame) then give yourself permission to step into some unfamiliar spaces. Doing new things can be scary, hard and intimidating but NOTHING is more terrifying than stagnation.

So take a little time today to consider the limiting beliefs that may be holding you back then under the glow of tonight’s full moon make an intentional choice to let them go and in their place welcome expansiveness.

The skill and practice of expansion goes:
1) OBSERVE the negative thought or feeling
2) BREATHE in, around & through it
3) ALLOW & include it + all other possibilities

Now is the time to:
🌝Say yes to the thing you’ve been afraid of
🌝Embrace ALL thoughts/feelings that come
🌝Take a step: book the trip, put out the
invitation, sign up to the course - just do it

Ask yourself, what would you change if you actually believed the dream was possible?

“Above all, learn how to breathe correctly.” - Joseph Pilates.

What do you mean I could learn to breathe better? I thought I was already breathing? 🤨😮‍💨🤷🏼‍♀️

This was my first thought when I was first introduced to breathwork many years ago. Little did I know that at the time my body was SO tight & rigid that my breath was restricted (or vice versa 💁🏼‍♀️), it was very shallow and thus my nervous system irregulated.

But different breathing patterns directly influence our autonomic nervous system, changing our heart rate, blood pressure, and brain chemistry all in a matter of seconds.

Breathwork is the conscious control of our breathing patterns to physically and mentally alter our state. It acts as a direct remote control for your autonomic nervous system, allowing you to actively de-escalate stress, boost mental clarity, improve your emotional well-being AND overall health.

Learning to ‘breathe correctly’ was one of the biggest and most positive changes I’ve ever made to my health which is why I love sharing, teaching and facilitating it for others.

What do I do on my holidays?

Well, a lot of things but Pilates is always one of them because for me, it’s not ‘a class’ I go to, it’s a practice and a lifestyle. It aligns and centers me, helps me breath better, think clearer and thus feel happier - all things that are conducive to a fabulous holiday 🙏🏼🤸🏼‍♂️🤩

Nothing like Glasshouse Mountains pineapple season for the freshest, juiciest, sweetest pineapples ever! 🍍😍🍍😍🍍

Pineapples are highly effective in clearing toxins and supporting metabolic health. The high content of the enzyme bromelain helps break down protein, reducing intestinal congestion and stimulating weak digestion.

In Ayurvedic nutrition, pineapples are considered to be quite a heating food so pairing it with cooling foods like coconut helps mitigate its heating nature.
