A close-up of the Kunzite and pearl necklace from the previous post. I had a lot of creative freedom from the client on this one, which is awesome. It has such an amazing presence, It's cool to think of this being a treasured family heirloom one day. Here it is! Swipe across> a client came to me hoping my big morganite necklace was still available. It was time for a fresh design. I came up with several ideas, and this is the concept we went with. And what a choice! The heart of the peice is a stunning, rich coloured 28.8ct Kunzite surrounded by aquamarines with a diamond waterfall cascading through the centre. What an amazing gift, the piece is made in all white gold and sits on a glowing strand of south sea pearls.

Making a moi toi style cluster is a challenge. It's asymmetrical but needs to look perfectly balanced. The client had a clear vision. The two 1ct sapphires are deep and really hold this stunning royal blue saturated colour. Moving the stones a few degrees or having slightly wrong diamond sizes through the whole design off and looked terrible, but the final result is perfection and makes for a really unique design.

It doesn't get much cooler than this. An awesome client of mine wanted a new band and didnt give me many limitations and a healthy budget. He wanted it to be mostly platinum and to include some green elements. This was the design we went with. Made in platinum, anodized aluminium and silver. Set with princess cut emeralds and close to 2cts of diamonds

This ring is so fun! A loyal client of mine who has got many larger pieces from me wanted a smaller ring using a tourmaline she got whilst in Sri lanka. I know her style and all of her rings tie in with each other. This one is no different it was a fun challenge cutting the very tall but small cabachon sapphires in house. Its such a playful ring and has tonnes of character. You can see my story to see her other pieces.

Day 5 of antique week! This one you may have seen before but it was too perfect not to share. It is also available for immediate purchase. A lot of preparation and thought went into the design. The centre stone is a 4.26ct aquamarine that i had custom cut to this one off shape. It was based of a old mine cut stone and the goal was to create a more modern interpretation. The aquamarine rough (pre cut) was from a small batch of Mozambique material that had a deep rich colour. The ring itself is made from platinum and is pierced, hand engraved and set with 1.77cts worth of small diamonds. The result is a mesmerising one of a kind statement piece that you won't see anywhere else.

Day #4 of antique week. This one is a showstopper! It had to be special it was a gift celebrating the birth of a child, the client wanted it to be a sophisticated statement piece using diamonds only. He trusted with the design, and this stunning Art deco style cocktail ring was the result. A timeless architectural piece with elevation changes and distinct borders not just a mess of diamonds but a super intentional design. The centre stone a 1.63ct fvs1 emerald cut is framed by a border of Princess cuts and halo of smaller diamonds with, of course the signature artdeco

Day #3 of antique week. This one is a solitaire with the main focus being this stunning Evs1 1.83ct antique cut moval diamond. In the second slide its unique cut is much more noticeable. Antique cuts often have less facets and unique proportions. in some cases even irregularities or asymmetries. I find this so appealing, it has a real charm and makes it feel as though its not brand new but established and will stand the test of time.it is also fun to add a little uniqueness to a common design setting yourself apart from other solitaires, it feels more thoughtful. The cut 'moval' on top of being a antique cut, comes from combining both marquise and oval cutting styles.
