We’ve received quite a few messages recently asking why the Brazilian Finishing Oil feels a little thicker during winter.

The good news? That’s completely normal.

Our Finishing Oil is made with naturally derived ingredients, including babassu oil. When temperatures drop, babassu naturally becomes more solid, which can make the oil feel thicker than usual. It doesn’t affect the quality or performance of the product at all.

Before you use it, warm the bottle between your hands for a minute or hold the closed bottle under warm running water. Once it warms up, the oil will return to its usual texture.

And one more thing: don’t throw it away. It’s just your oil reacting to the cold, exactly as a natural oil should.
