As part of our commitment to quality support, we attend regular professional development (PD) sessions as a team.
This is a throwback to one of our first PD sessions conducted by Jordi TomΓ©, a clinical psychologist with extensive experience working with at-risk children and families in the DCJ system.
It was extremely eye-opening to get Jordi's insight into the systems and supports available to children and families in need, and we learnt a lot about how these presentations light intersect with our own work.
Data from DCJ shows that 1 in 4 children in NSW public schools have a disability, so it's clear to see the importance of knowing how to work with DCJ and organisations that support children.
