Recents faves ♡ mixed media. A life little Soph would be so happy to know about. Flowers in my garden, walks in city parks, meeting halfways and “hey I was reading this and thought of you”, and “do you want to go on an adventure just because?” And “will you bring my vision board to life & also shoot the day I become a wife?”, and “no don’t buy a coffee on the way today’s my turn”, and “tonight’s our night, where shall we go?” and voice notes from faraway besties that end with “I’m just so glad we have each other.”

Feeling so lucky towards the end of chapter 32 🐆🌷❣️

This film photo means so much to me, for a few reasons.

It’s my friend Jods, holding a bunch of flowers she bought at the markets especially for our adventure (after also buying me not one, but TWO bunches to keep at my house 😭🌸).

It’s also one of the photos where she’d just taught me how to play with my aperture + shutter speed to create a little blur, as I learn more about being behind the lens, with her continuous hype and generous wisdom.

And, it’s also what this day represented.

A sunny ferry trip adventure we chose to have yesterday, just because. We want to really be in our lives. To appreciate them while we’re living them. Take big sighs. Notice things. Chat and also let there be silence. Capture moments. Nerd out over which film roll we’re using and the way the light hits. Have a laugh at/with eachother.

This timestamp photo 🕰️ feels like a turning of the page, at the start of my birthday season and a new era in my creativity. But also because it so beautifully shows & celebrates the calibre of people in my life, both near & far that are making my life feel this full of sunshine.

Spring is about to do it’s thing, so in two-coffees-deep full body excitement… say HELLO to my new obsession, my new branding and business era.

I’m usually on the other side but this is all thanks to my gorgeous friend Rose, thank you for really seeing me - and expressing my whimsy, and celebrating the hopeless romantic I am, visually. I now want to paint Pearl all of these colours. My branding palette is also my IRL flower bed.. (see last slide)
