easy meal prep-able meal!! Use this formula and swap in/out your favourites🧡

- lots of slow release & nutrient dense energy sources
- feel full for longer
- lots of fiber for digestion
- nice on the wallet if you swap out the avocado for an olive oil-based dressing

Why do vegans replicate animal products if they don’t like eating animal products?

Vegan cheese edition: vegan cheese is not the same as normal cheese and I think we are a long way from being able to replicate a stunning Brie or Stilton🤤 BUT it serves a functional and taste purpose. It does a banging job of creating a salty, creamy, stringy, crispy, indulgent lasagne and enables people who like lasagne to eat lasagne!! Even if they don’t like the environmental/animal welfare/health implications of eating too much dairy cheese may bring

So while it’s not the same, that’s kind of the point, and it is still satisfying the job

Can’t wait for vegan cheese to photograph as well as dairy cheese does though lmao

ps, you may confused because you know that i LOVE ricecakes and have them often, but that's as a snack as well as a sandwich or whatever

unsure how I’ve gone so long without making chutney but I learnt something the other day!!

Great way to reduce food waste and add flavour to meals:
- take your chopped fruit/veggies of choice (I used apples and quinces) and weigh them
- add the same amount of sugar (caster, brown, whatever)
- add all to a pan with a good glug of vinegar
- add spices of choice (I used chilli, cinnamon and mixed spice - made the house smell like Christmas)

Simmer to a thick syrup for about 20mins and once cool, transfer to a clean jar!!

Relevant
Time-bound

It makes much more sense to focus on a specific behaviour you want to address than a general, overwhelming, and vague feeling

A classic is: to feel healthier

That's a great focus and I love that for you, but what does that mean? How are you going to achieve it? How are you going to make sure you're progressing?

Beta-carotene is the precursor for vitamin A

Vitamin A is crucial in vision, no vitamin A = no sight

Vitamin A deficiencies affect MORE THAN HALF of all countries 😰

Mostly low-income, hardly in high-income countries

Half of the children who lose their sight to vitamin A deficiency (up to 500,000/year) will die within the first 12 months of losing their sight

That got miserable real quick but I’m always grateful for the food I get to eat every day, and you should be too!

I truly believe that the more respect we have for our food/health, the better the world will be

Respect and care spreads…

Mix 3 tablespoons of hummus with 1 tablespoon of pesto, a dash of olive oil and a splash of olive brine (trust me!)

Mix this into your cooked pasta and add Greek toppings for a delishhhh lunch or dinner. Make an extra portion for your lunch tomorrow and you’ll thank yourself for it😎
