MINDiVATION – An Introduction to NLP is for the therapist who values their professional AND personal growth. The lessons revealed are life-enriching, with the curtain lifted on simple “HOW TO’s…”, to teach onwards to your clients in-session, and help them to get the results that matter most.

With simple, relevant and practical content; this session gives you awareness of why we each think like we do and provides strategies to teach onwards to clients, empowering them with instantly usable techniques and enabling them to step into personal responsibility and create the better outcomes they desire.

Put simply; if a person’s strategy is resourceful, you can help them discover how to expand their thinking for even better results. Some, however, will have awareness that their past or current patterns of thinking may not have served them as best as it can, to date. In this instance, you can effectively teach techniques and strategies to use immediately. This means you are instantly equipped to help a client shift their mindset from unresourceful to resourceful. By utilizing the valuable information shared in this session, you can positively impact Client outcomes and empower yourself for personal AND professional success!

This session is interactive and has a balance of presentation, demonstration and practical exercises, to create an outstanding and worthwhile learning experience for attendees.

An interesting one for us as therapists ….🙂

AI is becoming a growing source of emotional support, but new research analysing over 4 million Reddit posts found a fascinating paradox: AI appears most helpful when used for practical support, self-reflection, coping strategies, and organisation, however deeper emotional dependence on chatbots may be linked to worsening symptoms of shame, guilt, and difficulty disengaging.

Most users still view AI as a supplement to human therapy, not a replacement. “That’s good!”

A timely reminder that technology can support our wellbeing, but human connection continues to remain an essential component in mental health care. 💙🧠

Hypnosis & Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) — New Research Review (2024)

A major systematic review published in General Hospital Psychiatry examined over 100 years of research into hypnosis and therapeutic suggestion for Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).

🔹 35 studies reviewed
🔹 1,500+ patients included
🔹 87% showed significant improvement
🔹 Many experienced substantial or complete symptom reduction

Researchers concluded that hypnosis and therapeutic suggestion show “promising” potential as interventions for FND, although more high-quality modern research is still needed.

The review also highlighted growing evidence that:
✨ FND is a genuine brain-body condition
✨ Hypnosis may influence attention, agency, perception, and nervous system functioning
✨ Functional symptoms are real, distressing, and potentially reversible

This growing field continues to bridge neuroscience, psychology, neuroplasticity, and mind-body medicine.

AHA 2 Day Weekend Workshop
“Past Life Regression as a Therapeutic Lens: A Clinical Approach to Uncovering Hidden Root Causes.”
Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June 2026 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
6 CPD Points
COST
Members: $100
Non Members: $140
This two day professional workshop introduces therapists, counsellors, and hypnotherapy practitioners to the clinical application of Past Life Regression (PLR) as a method for uncovering deep rooted emotional patterns when the origin of a client’s issue is not accessible through standard hypnotherapeutic exploration.
Participants will explore reincarnation and karmic theory as therapeutic metaphors, understand how symbolic memory can emerge during trance work, and learn how PLR can be used ethically and effectively as an adjunct modality.
Participants will:
• Gain a cross cultural understanding of reincarnation, afterlife beliefs, and karmic principles as frameworks that can support deeper subconscious exploration.
• Learn how unresolved emotional imprints, symbolic memories, or archetypal imagery may manifest as unexplained fears, persistent patterns, or emotional blocks.
• Understand when PLR becomes clinically relevant — particularly when:
o the client cannot identify a trigger
o the presenting issue appears disproportionate to known life events
o standard regression techniques do not reveal a root cause
• Learn the structure, pacing, and safety considerations of a PLR session.
• Observe a live demonstration (with a volunteer if available) to understand tone, guidance, and therapeutic containment.
• Explore how PLR can be integrated into clinical hypnotherapy to support emotional release, insight, and transformation.
• Develop confidence in using PLR as a problem solving tool when traditional approaches reach a therapeutic plateau.
By the end of the workshop, therapists will be able to:
• Use PLR as an adjunct diagnostic tool when conventional regression does not reveal the origin of a client’s issue.
• Recognise when a client’s presenting problem may be rooted in symbolic, archetypal, or non current life material.
• Facilitate a safe, structured PLR session with appropriate grounding and integration.
• Expand their therapeutic toolkit with a modality that supports root cause discovery, emotional release, and deeper insight.
• Apply PLR ethically within a clinical framework, ensuring client safety and psychological stability.

Key Insights on Hypnotherapy and Dissociative Disorders Research

Recent findings reveal that patients with dissociative disorders (DDs),
trauma- and stressor-related disorders (TSDs), and functional neurological
disorder (FND) exhibit significantly higher levels of hypnotic
suggestibility compared to control groups.

* Dissociative Disorders show the most pronounced effect, indicating a stronger response to hypnosis.
* These findings enhance our understanding of the mechanisms and risk factors associated with these conditions, highlighting the therapeutic potential of hypnotherapy in treatment.

Explore how hypnotherapy can be beneficial for individuals dealing with trauma and dissociation!
