🔹 Nearly three in four Australians diagnosed with MS are women.
🔹 More than 37,000 Australians are currently living with multiple sclerosis.
🔹 12,286 people with MS are supported through the NDIS.
🔹 Most individuals receive an MS diagnosis between the ages of 20 and 40.

Congratulations on receiving your NDIS plan! The next steps are about understanding your supports and getting started confidently:

1. Read your plan and see what supports you have included 📖
2. Check how your plan is managed (self‑managed, plan‑managed, or NDIA‑managed) 📂
3. Connect with your team, if you have a Support Coordinator or Plan Manager, they can help you get started 🤝
4. Choose providers you feel comfortable with 🔍
5. Agree on supports and sign service agreements ✍️
6. Start using your plan to get the help you need 🚀

Once everything is in place, start using your plan straight away so you can receive the supports you need to work towards your goals! 🌟

The Government is making changes to strengthen the NDIS and ensure it supports people with permanent and significant disability into the future.

What’s changing: 📖
• Clearer eligibility based on functional impact (not diagnosis lists)
• More consistent planning and supports
• No rollover of unused funds
• Stronger focus on quality and safer providers
• Action to reduce fraud and system misuse
• New investment in community participation

Timing: 🗓️
Changes roll out from late 2026 through 2027 and beyond.
