History Won’t Remember You Will!

This weekend, the Abolish Abortion Western Australia ladies hit the streets of Perth again, this time with their shiny new Abolitionists Rising signs that Abolish Abortion Australia sent them.

Lunae and Kara reported an excellent day out: many opportunities to share the gospel, many copies of John’s Gospel handed out, and even some apologetic discussions with Roman Catholics regarding the Marian dogmas. One reported "highlight" was receiving their first insults, to which another abolitionist responded, "You’re now officially true abolitionists! 🎊". Although this is tongue-in-cheek, there is truth to it.

Abolitionists engage the culture on the front lines; we circumvent the algorithm and confront the culture of death face to face. To us, even the most vile insults and comments like "your mother should have aborted you", "I'm going to kill my child just for you", or "eat them!" (the children), become commonplace and mundane.

Yet, our Lord Jesus says, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you." (Matthew 5:10-12)

Therefore, we count it all joy when we are reviled for proclaiming Christ's law and gospel. Not that it is ever easy to endure, but God gives us grace that we might persevere. This experience ought to be common among Christians, for since the world hates our Lord, they will also hate his servants (John 15:18). We pray that our courage might inspire similar courage in our brothers and sisters to join us as colabourers in the harvest fields.

So next time you see your friendly neighbourhood abolitionist, encourage them. Do not be ashamed of us, but welcome us, give one of these little ones a drink, you will surely be rewarded for it! (Mark 9:41)

Had a great to chat with some American Abolitionist brothers on the Called To Contend podcast regarding the opening statements of our debate with Dr Joanna Howe.
We even had Carson on the watch party. James and Jo would have you believe he’s one of the big, “bad” abolitionists who works for Abolitionists Rising! 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

We will definitely need to do a part 2….and 3…and possibly 4.

Much fun had with these faithful brothers!

Police Watch Abolitionist Be A Servant Of God

When our founder Todd Abolitionist visited Iowa earlier this year for the Abolitionists Rising “Justice Alone”conference there were many opportunities for mission work around the state.
Alan Maricle and Mike Gulley were pivotal figures who helped organise events outside of the conference and capital days.
Alan picked Todd up every morning for a new evangelism event and one day they had the privilege of speaking to students and faculty at ISU (Iowa State University).
One of the Pastors who spoke at the Justice Alone conference, Sam Jones just sent through some incredible feedback to Todd from one of his most recent outings to ISU (see picture).

Todd said about his time at ISU:

“I was really challenging the young men there to get in the fight. None of them liked the pro-life movement and could see its many flaws, sins and disobedience.
After much chat and robust debate these young men agreed that the abolitionist position was the biblical position and so I commissioned them with being new abolitionists and challenged them to go away now and to pray for the work that was taking place in Iowa that weekend (justice alone conference and the abolition bill) and to start challenging their congregants and bible study groups as well as pastors and elders to think biblically on this topic.

To hear that a young student came and grabbed a sign and joined the fight is incredible.”

Sometimes it’s hard to know whether you are having any impact at all.
This is of great encouragement to us at Abolish Abortion Australia and I’m sure to you all.

Praise God for His work in the hearts of these young men who were challenged.

Rachel Burkey has been such a stalwart sister in this fight for the pre-born. We have been incredibly blessed by her in the few years we have been around.
I (Todd) was blessed enough to be able to finally meet Rachel earlier in the year at the Abolitionists Rising conference and I cannot sing her praises more highly and can report to you all that Rachel did not stop working the entire conference and mission!

My own father has been through and by the grace of God beaten cancer, so this is even closer to my heart.

I love ANZAC day.
I love the dawn service.
What an honour it is to pay our respect to our diggers every year.
On this Anzac Day, we love and honour this sacred day of remembrance. Our deepest respect to our service men and women — past and present — who sacrificed for our nation.
We mourn the loss of over 100,000 precious Australian lives lost in war over the past century.

Lest we forget.

Yet what dawned on me this year as they spoke of the 100,000+ servicemen and women who have lost their lives over the past 111 years is that as a nation we continue to murder MORE than that number EVERY YEAR through abortion, IVF, abortifacient drugs and so-called “birth control”.

This is an abomination before the Lord!

How many beautiful image bearers shall not grow old as we grow old? But most of these babies are not remembered. They are forgotten!
