What a magical weekend with these absolute delightful souls. 💚

I was so deeply honoured to be invited into this beautiful community to support and witness each person as they crafted their own unique medicine drum.

It’s exponential watching the participants become connected through the shared experience of creating something so deeply personal.

To witness the medicine that comes through each participant is beyond words. Every drum carries its own story, its own energy and its own unique expression of the person who brought it into being.

These spaces stretch me in the best possible ways as a space holder. I adore witnessing the growth, the vulnerability, the connection and all the little moments of magic that unfold when we slow down, create together and allow what needs to emerge to emerge.

I’m so incredibly grateful for the trust, the openness and the beautiful souls who welcomed me in.

What a gift to share this work. 🪶🥁✨

There she is... my newest little 14" delight. 💚💜

Like so many of my drums, she arrived in that familiar, magical way.
One moment I was simply following an idea, and before I knew it I was completely immersed in the making. .....
Hours disappeared and my poor son still hadn't eaten because I was so deeply in the creative flow. 😂

Born at 7:15pm on 4th August, this drum is lovingly handcrafted with kangaroo hide, willow wood, hand-woven sinew, kangaroo leather, and finished with a beautiful moss agate handle.

This is a drum for the one standing at the threshold of a new beginning.
For the one who has walked through the mud, the mess, and the deep transformation, and is now ready to rise like the lotus, ready to be seen and celebrated.

She carries the reminder that our greatest mess often becomes our greatest medicine. As old stories, patterns, and programs begin to fall away, she gently calls you back to your own truth, your own rhythm, and the life waiting to be lived.

This drum is ready to find her new custodian.

I'm deeply grateful and excited to welcome the beautiful women feeling the call into the sacred art of Drum making—dancing our prayers into her skin and opening ourselves to the teachings of the Medicine Wheel.

Hi, I'm Sophie the creator behind hEARTHum 💚
I'm an intuitive textile and nature artist whose work is deeply inspired by the rhythms and textures of the natural world.

Working with wool and ethically sourced animal fibres, I transform raw materials into tactile artworks and instruments.
Each piece honours the colours, patterns, and stories found in nature, inviting you to experience it through touch and sound, not just sight.

My creative process is shaped by lived experience, time spent on the land, and a genuine connection to animals and the environment. Stillness, observation, and care are at the heart of everything I create.
Every piece begins with clear intention and is completed with patience and respect for the materials.

Based on the Central Coast, I balance studio time with my son, singing, healing work, staying curious, travel, and continuing to build a meaningful relationship with the land around me.
From thoughtfully sourced items to the attention given during creation, each Heart Hum piece is made with purpose, something you feel the moment you hold it.

I'm excited to continue working these threads through our community and looking forward to more collaborations with many more community's that have felt the call for me to travel to work with! 🎉

Holy smokes, I'm still finding my feet after they were lifted off by this amazing group of women I had the absolute treat to spend the weekend with.

Each women showed up in spades with their courage, determination and unique medicine to bring forth.
It's really quite something to witness the process of birthing sacred medicine drums, no two are ever the same and each is born with their own messages and energy for their carrier.

At the same time over this potent New Moon that this beautiful gymea Lilly burst open this darling feather wafter was born.

"Firehawk" holds a very neutral and light energy from the falcon feathers it holds from the sacred lands at Uluru.
As I worked with these feathers I was reminded of the grandmother spirit who welcomed me and took me too a sacred water hole to help me remember myself...
She and many ancient ones hold these energies in our heartland of Australia.
How blessed are we to be here and connect to this land that cares for us, feeds us and holds our feet as we grow 🌱

In traditional Indigenous lore, the Brown Falcon is observed carrying burning sticks to spread fire. Spiritually, this represents manifestation, transformation, and utilizing your environment to create opportunities.

Sharpened Intuition & Foresight: Like most raptors, falcons possess incredible binocular vision. Spiritually, this totem urges you to step back, view the "big picture," and plan your next move with patience and clarity.

The beautiful and abundant land at Holgate (guriNgai country) will hold us this July as we birth our Sacred Medicine Drums together in community.

I'm so excited and humbled to spend the weekend supporting this divine process and witness those that feel the call to bring through their unique medicine together, remembering, creating and connecting as we have done for many thousands of years.

This July I was dreaming of returning to Uluru for Quest Time, but life was revealing that it wasn't going to happen...
Soooo... guess what? 💚

I recently connected with a tour guide from Uluru, and she sent me these incredible gifts — divine feathers from a Brown Falcon (Falco berigora) found there.

Oh, my heart. What a beautiful blessing. 🙏🌄

I'm feeling so grateful to be working with this gracious energy and to receive such a special connection to a place I love so deeply.
