While the cooler weather can be refreshing, it can also be drying for our skin and place extra demands on our bodies as cold and flu season arrives.

🌿 This Weekend's Markets 🌿

The weather has been absolutely beautiful lately. There’s a little wind around at times, but the sunny days and cooler temperatures make it a wonderful time to get out and enjoy the markets.

Both markets offer so much more than shopping and are perfect for a relaxing day out.

The Manly Markets are set along the beautiful foreshore, where many people enjoy walking, jogging, cycling, or simply taking in the stunning bayside views. It's one of our favourite places to spend a Saturday morning.

Northey Street has a very different feel, with its unique organic city farm setting. Behind the market you'll find produce growing, real chickens wandering about, and a wonderful community atmosphere. There are activities for children, lovely places to sit and enjoy breakfast or lunch, and the nursery is always worth exploring for gardening inspiration.

🌿 A Customer Story We Were Honoured to Hear 🌿

One of the things we love most about attending markets is meeting wonderful people and hearing their stories.

Recently at the Northey Street Organic Markets, Yasmin stopped by our stall and shared her experience with us. Her story was so heartfelt and inspiring that I asked if she would be willing to share it on video.

After travelling overseas, Yasmin experienced some significant health challenges that left her feeling extremely unwell. Despite seeking help, she felt she wasn't finding the answers she was looking for.

A Filipino friend suggested she try moringa. Yasmin began slowly, taking only small amounts at first and gradually increasing her intake over time.

In her own words, she describes moringa as her "miracle cure."

Of course, everyone's experience is different, and we encourage people to seek professional medical advice for health concerns. But stories like Yasmin's remind us why so many people around the world have valued moringa for generations.

We’re especially excited about Sunday because the Eagle Street Farmers Market only opened a few weeks ago on Mother’s Day, and this will be our first time attending there since the opening. 😊

Trying to run a business at 76 be like… 😂💻💗
One minute I’m happily talking about Moringa, Hyaluronic Acid and helping women feel good in their skin…

…and the next minute Shopify is asking me about SEO, ALT text, keywords, backlinks, analytics and something called a SERP?! 🤯

Apparently I now need to be:
✔ A marketer
✔ A photographer
✔ A web designer
✔ A copywriter
✔ A tech wizard
✔ And possibly a part-time detective 🕵️‍♀️

Meanwhile I’m over here Googling:
“Why won’t anyone find my store?” 😂

Honestly, some days I feel like throwing my laptop into the nearest compost bin and living quietly in the forest with my Moringa powder.

BUT… here’s the thing.
I may be 76.
I may not understand half the tech jargon.
I may occasionally want to cry into my tea…
…but I’m still learning. Still showing up. Still building Luv Your Age one step at a time. 💗

And if nothing else, at least the pink hair adds personality to the breakdowns 😆🌸

✨ A New Chapter for Luv Your Age ✨

This weekend is a special one for us because for the very first time we will be attending the Powerhouse Farmers Market on Saturday, 23rd May.

Ever since we first began our market journey, attending Powerhouse has been one of our goals.

In the early days we weren’t able to join the market because another lovely stallholder was already selling skincare and wellness products, and the market owners quite rightly wanted to protect their existing vendors from having businesses that were too similar.

We completely understood and respected that decision.

As it happens, that beautiful business has now moved fully online (and yes — we are still friends 😊), which has opened the opportunity for us to finally apply again and be accepted.

We’re genuinely excited to now become part of the Powerhouse market community.

For those who may not know, the Powerhouse Farmers Market is located near New Farm Park beside the Brisbane River — such a beautiful part of Brisbane and somewhere we’ve always loved visiting ourselves.

This weekend you’ll find us at:

* Saturday — Powerhouse Farmers Market
* Sunday — Northey Street Organic Market (our usual fortnightly market)

If you visit our website now, you may notice it looks VERY different from the original version of Luv Your Age.

Over the past few months we’ve been working quietly behind the scenes completely redesigning and restructuring the website so it better reflects who we are today — and where we’re heading in the future.

To be honest… the old website had slowly become a little confusing as we grew.

What originally began with our Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Moringa wellness products has gradually expanded to include jewellery with a purpose, wellness tools, self-care rituals, and in the future, courses and educational resources as well.

So we realised it was time to create something clearer, calmer, and easier to navigate.

You’ll now find:
🌿 simpler shopping categories
🌿 clearer product sections
🌿 updated imagery
🌿 a new banner and branding
🌿 and a website structure designed to better reflect our focus on wellness for body, mind, and spirit.

And we're not quite done yet - there are still smaller changes to make but the basic structure is there now.

Not all Moringa powder is created equal 🌿

I often get asked:
“How do I know if I’m buying good quality Moringa powder?”
Here are a few simple things to look for:

🌿 COLOUR
Good quality moringa powder should be a vibrant green.
Very pale or brownish powder may be old, over-processed, or contain stems and branches instead of mostly leaves.

🌿 SMELL
Fresh moringa has a natural earthy, grassy smell.
If it smells musty, stale, or “off,” it may not be fresh.

🌿 INGREDIENTS
Look for 100% pure moringa leaf powder with no fillers, additives, preservatives, or sweeteners.

🌿 SOURCE
Try to buy from companies that are transparent about where their moringa is grown and how it is processed.

🌿 PACKAGING
Good moringa should be stored in sealed packaging away from heat and moisture to help preserve nutrients.

🌿 QUALITY OVER CHEAP PRICES
Extremely cheap moringa powder is often lower quality. Sometimes stems and other plant material are added to bulk it out.

One important thing many people don’t realize:
Some moringa powders are made mostly from leaves, while others may include branches and stems. While the whole Moringa plant is edible leaf-only powder is generally considered the better-quality option.

Moringa has been treasured for centuries and is often called “The Miracle Tree” because of its incredible nutritional profile.
