A little while ago I shared that my husband chose to spend more time recording music than surfing, and at first I thought we were growing apart.
What I didn’t share was what happened next.
We slowed down and started listening to each other. We actually found ourselves genuinely curious about what the other was creating.
He started showing me the music he was working on. I started sharing more about the breathwork and nervous system work I was immersed in.
And then something unexpected happened: he wrote and recorded three songs for me.
I now use those songs in my meditations and breathwork sessions!
His music now lives inside my work, and my work shaped what he created.
We didn’t plan that. It emerged because we gave ourselves space to meet each other in who we were becoming, rather than holding on to who we thought we were supposed to be.
That’s what happens when couples slow down long enough to be present with each other, not just managing life side by side.
Most couples don’t need fixing. They need space and conditions for presence without the distractions.
Space to pause, listen, to remember why they chose each other in the first place, and to meet who each other is becoming now.
I’ve created a space just for this : the Alchemy of Connection as this is the very thing that brought us closer together in the small moments that became big moments. Experiencing each other’s truth and safety in the nervous system is now even more important.
Two final couple spots available for The Alchemy of Connection. If you’ve been feeling this pull, send me a DM now.
