🎉 VRC Father’s Day BBQ 🎉

What a wonderful Father’s Day celebration in the Village 💙

Everyone enjoyed a delicious BBQ with mouth-watering burgers, followed by ice cream and chocolate for dessert — a pretty perfect combination! 🍔🍦🍫

We were entertained by the wonderful Torbay Songbirds, accompanied by the talented Errol & Ken, who had everyone tapping along and enjoying the music. 🎶

There were plenty of lucky raffle winners throughout the afternoon, and everyone had lots of fun with the fabulous photo guessing activity organised by Bill — “Which Resident Is It?” check out the photos of then & now📸😄

A special mention also goes to Allan who had everyone entertained with his wonderful Father’s Day poems. 👏

A big thank you to our wonderful VRC (Villa Residents Commitee) & all their helpers who made the day such a lovely celebration. It was wonderful to see so many smiles.

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads, grandads and father figures in our Torbay community. We hope you had a fantastic day filled with good food, laughter and plenty of love! ❤️

🥁🎶 Fun in Daintree! 💃🕺

Our Daintree residents had a fantastic time enjoying a drumming circle, learning to play the bongos and making some wonderful music together! 🥁

The fun continued with plenty of singing and dancing thanks to our special guest singer, Barb. 🎤💃

There were lots of smiles, laughter and toe-tapping moments — what a wonderful way to spend the day! ❤️🎶

Despite the chilly weather, our Veterans Day service was a very special occasion as we gathered in our beautiful Chapel to honour and remember those who have served our country.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the battle of Long Tan, making this year’s commemoration particularly significant as we remember the service and sacrifice of all those who served.

A special thank you to our resident Tommy, who proudly laid the wreath at the bottom of the flagpole on behalf of our village.

It was a beautiful morning of remembrance, reflection and gratitude as we came together to honour our veterans and their families.

🌟 Congratulations Neroli! 🌟

Well done to our lovely resident, Neroli, who received an Encouragement Award at the Seniors Talent Quest for reciting a beautiful poem she wrote about living in a retirement village. 🏆💐
Anyone who knows Neroli knows she has an incredible talent for putting her thoughts and experiences into words, and she generously shares one of her poems each month in the Torbay Times for everyone to enjoy.

We’re always amazed by the incredible talents of our residents and how many talented people we have right here in our village. It’s wonderful to see them sharing their gifts and inspiring others in our community. ❤️

🎉 Celebrating Three Very Special Ladies! 🎂💐

This month, we are celebrating three very special ladies, Edna, Lil & Cath in our Village who are all turning an incredible 98 years young! ❤️

What an amazing milestone — and even more wonderful that all three continue to live in our Village, enjoying their homes, friendships and the wonderful community around them.
These three beautiful ladies are truly the matriarchs of our Village — women who have seen so much, shared so many experiences and are such a valued part of our Torbay family. 🥰
We feel incredibly lucky to celebrate this very special milestone with them.
Please join us in wishing our three wonderful ladies a very Happy 98th Birthday! 🎂🎈💕 Here’s to celebrating life, friendship and many more happy years ahead! 🌷

💙 Aged Care Employee Day – Thank You! 💙

On Friday, we celebrated Aged Care Employee Day and took the opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing staff! 🌟
Our dedicated team work tirelessly each and every day to provide care, support and kindness to our residents, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do. 💐

The Grey Nomads coffee van was onsite to help us celebrate and show our appreciation to our staff for all their hard work. ☕🍰
