This window is the space within which we can feel, think, and respond without becoming overwhelmed. When life shrinks that space, gentle time outdoors can help open it back up again. Whether it's a walk by the ocean or river, sitting under a tree, listening to birdsong, or doing some light gardening, these moments help our nervous systems recalibrate.
