Tight or Weak? Understanding Muscle dysfunction 💡🤔
A lot of people come in saying they have “tight” muscles, but did you know that tightness isn’t always the problem? Often, the discomfort you feel is actually caused by weakness or joint instability, resulting in tension.
When a muscle lacks strength or a joint lacks stability, it struggles to do its job properly, resulting in muscles being over or underused and feeling 'tight'. Stretching alone won’t fix the issue. Strengthening weak muscles helps restore imbalances, resulting in a decrease in general tension.
