Nice surprise to come home to beautiful greens veggies gifted by the school, from their permaculture garden!
Children are so excited and happy!

A part of my story I haven’t share yet:

I moved to Australia and rebuilt my entire life from scratch. New country, new systems, new everything — while also being a mother, building a business, and trying to feel well in a body that was running on not enough of anything.

Nobody really saw how hard that was. Because from the outside it looked like a choice. An adventure. Something to be grateful for.
And it was. And it was also genuinely hard in ways that are difficult to explain to people who haven't done it.

I think about that a lot when I'm sitting with a client.
Because so many of the women I work with are carrying something that looks fine from the outside. They're coping. They're managing. They're doing all the things.
And underneath that — they're exhausted, they haven't felt like themselves in a long time, and they're not sure anyone would really understand if they said so out loud.
I would. That's the whole point.

Most women eating "healthy" are still under-eating protein — and wondering why they're hungry by 3pm, tired by dinner, and craving sugar after every meal.

It's not a willpower problem. It's a plate-building problem.

Every meal needs a structure — something substantial, something fresh, something satisfying. That structure is actually protein doing its job.

The simple rule I give every client: if you can't see a palm-sized source of protein on your plate, the meal isn't finished yet.
Eggs. Legumes. Fish. Chicken. Greek yoghurt. Cheese, yes — cheese counts.

Start there. Everything else gets easier.

💬 What does protein look like on your plate today? Drop it below — I'm curious.

Today's little food explorers were absolutely incredible!

We crafted, we tasted, and we learned how to fuel our bodies — and the curiosity in that room was everything.

These kids reminded me why food education matters so much in the early years. When children understand how food fuels their body and learn to enjoy it with all their senses, something magical happens.

This is what My Food Adventure Journal is all about — curious kids, real food, and a whole lot of joy.

Next workshop coming next Tuesday — follow along or send me a message to find out more.

HURRY!!
Only 3 SPOTS LEFT for Workshop 1 this Wednesday and
1 SPOT LEFT for workshop 2 next week

Looking for something genuinely different for the school holidays?
I'm running two hands-on workshops for kids aged 7–10 — drop them off, get two hours to yourself, pick them up with a decorated journal full of recipes and food knowledge they actually made themselves.

Workshop 1 — My Food Adventure Journal Wednesday 8 April · 10am–12pm
Build and decorate their own journal, learn how food fuels the brain, muscles and bones, tackle a blind taste challenge and design their own snack invention.

Workshop 2 — My Food Adventure Journal Vol. 2 Tuesday 14 April · 10am–12pm (For returning explorers and first-timers alike)
New content — the rainbow plate, seasonal eating, a food self-portrait inspired by a famous Italian painter, and the Junior Nutritionist quiz. Perfect for returning kids or first-timers.

📌 Each workshop: $35 per child, all materials included, take-home journal
📌 Maximum 8 children per session
📌 Drop-off
📌 Burrill Lake Park

I'm an accredited nutritionist with WWCC — these workshops are designed to make food fun and interesting.
