Finding the right opportunity is only part of the journey. Before starting a placement or new role in your chosen career area, our team works alongside you to set you up for success in the workplace.

This may include travel training, developing workplace soft skills, creating a resume or preparing for an interview. We can also help you access other services to support your employment journey.

We are proud to support James on his journey alongside the Status Employment Services and Pivot Training RTO #46089 teams.

One of the most rewarding parts of James’s journey has been seeing his confidence grow. Through consistent support, he has developed stronger social and communication skills, increased his independence, and become more confident engaging with new opportunities.

We look forward to continuing to support James as he works towards his goals, including obtaining his Learner’s permit and exploring future employment opportunities!

With support from our Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) team, Pivot Training RTO #46089 and BlueSky Mind Studio, James is achieving his goals!

When James first joined Status, he recognised that he would like to build his confidence and create a pathway towards greater independence and employment.

As part of this journey, James enrolled in the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program through Pivot Training RTO #46089. Recently, he successfully completed his first SEE assessment, achieving a milestone that once seemed out of reach and demonstrating just how far his determination and perseverance have taken him.

Recently, James started a new role at a local library, stepping outside his comfort zone and taking on the new challenge with confidence. James will continue to work closely with the Status and BlueSky Mind Studio teams as he pursues his next goals, including obtaining his Learner's Permit!

Phase 2 of Customised Employment is all about identifying the right pathways for each participant.

Over the next 8 – 16 weeks, we work alongside Participants to explore their Vocational Themes and test career options that align with their strengths, interests, and goals. Through workplace visits, industry exploration and work experience opportunities, Participants gain valuable insight into different careers and industries.

For example, recently, participant Logan visited the Channel Seven studio to explore the media industry firsthand, helping him better understand his identified potential career pathways in media!

A few months ago, Joshua wasn't sure what was possible for his future.

Through our Customised Employment program, he worked with his NDIS Employment Coach, Amy, to explore his strengths, interests and conditions for success. Through Discovery, what started as a focus on warehouse work has grown into exploring opportunities connected to his interests in nature, wildlife, animals and the outdoors.

Joshua is now building confidence, stepping outside his comfort zone and working towards greater independence and meaningful employment.

Meet Jodie, our SA Team Leader!

Jodie is passionate about supporting people to achieve meaningful goals throughout their employment journey. She is committed to helping individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves, while ensuring their disability does not define who they are.

With over 10 years of experience in education support, Jodie joined BlueSky Mind Studio in May 2025 and has recently stepped into the role of Team Leader for South Australia. She continues to support participants to explore their interests and build confidence, while also leading and supporting our SA team.
