To our lovely Muswellbrook and Upper Hunter family 🙏💚

We know many of you ask - Will we keep Muswellbrook if Newcastle takes off? 🏡✨

It's a hard question and we can't make a promise about the future, as everyone has circumstances in life that might require change. 🤍

The only reason we tried to move before was staff - a lot of our therapists live in Newcastle. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

My focus now is on training the therapists to be great therapists. 🎓💚 I focus more on self care and other things that bring joy and happiness like writing, artwork and handmade products. ✨🎨🧶 I still love my job and never run out of passion, but we need balance in life. ⚖️

That's why two clinics is balance for me. Muswellbrook keeps me busy like a rehab clinic 💪🏥 while Newcastle says chill out, you need a rest, just breathe in the sea 🌊😮‍💨

Newcastle is my healing sanctuary, my spiritual work 🧘‍♀️💙 Muswellbrook keeps a solid, grounded foundation 🌱🤎 We need both to balance, like yin and yang ☯️

So now we just live in the present moment, not worrying about what the future will bring 🌸 If Zen Wellness is meant for Muswellbrook, it will stay. 🏡💫

First time with us? All new clients are invited to book an initial consultation with Pookie at our Newcastle Centre. This allows us to understand your needs, discuss your goals, and create a tailored plan within our scope of practice.

About Pookie:
Pookie is a qualified Myotherapist currently furthering her studies in acupuncture. She is trusted with referrals for clients presenting with chronic pain, long-term injuries, and is experienced in supporting clients with mental health challenges. All treatments are provided with full client privacy, consent, and within our professional scope - we do not provide medical diagnosis.

We work collaboratively with your healthcare team. For referrals, we provide: reason for referral, relevant history, objective findings (ROM, palpation, trigger points), treatment provided, response to treatment, ongoing plan, and what we are asking your GP / Physio to review.

Our upcoming practitioners, Brandan and Geoff, are dedicated professionals currently completing degrees in Health Science, Physiotherapy, and Sport & Exercise, and are pursuing their Myotherapy qualifications next year.

All our therapists are college and university trained and follow health service guidelines.

Thank you to our Hunter community for your trust, support and referrals. You’ve helped make us one of the most valued clinics in the Hunter region, and we’re working hard toward our goal of becoming the top clinic for best practice, techniques and facilities.
