🌟Book Week has finally come to a close! We would like to mark this joyful occasion by showcasing one of our participants, Gabriella, who dressed up as the iconic "Where's Wally" character.

We wanted to also shoutout our amazing PBS practitioner Janelle who collaborated with Gabriella to craft a personalized Where’s Wanda book, featuring all of Gabriella’s favorite places.

And lastly, another big thank you goes out to Gabriella’s mum, as well as all the parents who have been busy putting together fantastic Book Week outfits this year. Your creativity and dedication are nothing short of inspiring. Happy Book Week, everyone! 🥳📚

📚Fourth day of Book Week and we're still going strong with the book recommendations. Today's book is Karen B. Golightly's 'These Things I Know,' a gripping tale that will have you on the edge of your seat!

You follow Pepper, an 8 year old boy who is autistic, who is one day led away from a school field trip by a mysterious 'uncle' who claims that his mother has passed away due to an accident. This book is easy to follow along with, a fast-paced read, and is written from an interesting perspective. You will not want to put it down after picking it up! 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

📘Third day of Book Week! Time sure does fly, and time will fly even faster when you read this book because you will lose track of everything else while getting lost in it.

Hey Warrior is a fantastic book, especially for children to understand anxiety and how your brain works to protect you. It is both insightful and informative while also being fun to read. We happen to have it in our Autism Abilities bookshelf, so feel free to have a read while you're in the clinic!🗡️

📚Moving onto our second day of Book Week, we have our OT Vania's recommendation: Everyone Poops by Taro Gomi. This picture book is exactly what the title says but has an underlying message that despite our differences, we are the same at our core.

Also, if you ever questioned what whale poo looks like, this book has the answer! 🐳

✨Our PBS team recently took some valuable time out to focus on professional development, strengthening their knowledge, skills and practice.

We believe professional development is an important investment in our people. Creating opportunities for our practitioners to learn, reflect and continue developing helps build a confident, skilled team — and ultimately supports the quality of service we provide to participants and families.

We’re proud to support a culture where learning is valued, knowledge is shared and our team is encouraged to keep growing.

Because when we invest in our people, we invest in the people we support. 🤝
