I’ve been wearing my Oura ring for the last 6 months…

And it’s confirmed a lot of things I already suspected — but seeing it in data hits differently 👀

✨ Alcohol impacts my sleep way more than I thought

Not just for one night… but sometimes up to a week for my body and sleep to fully recover.

✨ Stress has a huge impact on my sleep

Especially my deep sleep and how quickly my heart rate drops overnight.

✨ Stress isn’t always obvious

Even on days I don’t *feel* stressed — but I’m busy (like full clinic days where I’m “on” mentally all day)… my stress markers are higher.

✨ My routine really matters

Changes to my routine show up almost immediately in my sleep and recovery.

✨ It’s made me prioritise rest more intentionally

Scheduling rest days, having a proper wind-down routine, and actually supporting my nervous system and not just pushing through.

✨ My cycle insights have been really interesting

My confirmed ovulation is later than I thought, and my luteal phase is shorter which has prompted me to do further hormone testing to check in on progesterone post ovulation.

One of the biggest takeaways for me…

Is how much your body is constantly communicating with you.

And when you start paying attention — whether that’s through data or just tuning in — you can actually start making decisions that support your body, not work against it.

This is something I bring into clinic as well.

Looking at the patterns, the signals, and what your body is trying to tell us 🌿

Do you track your sleep or cycle at all? I’d love to know 🤍

Your skin isn’t random.

It’s communicating with you 👀

Breakouts, congestion, inflammation…

They’re not just something to “get rid of” —

They’re often a reflection of what’s happening internally.

This is how I look at skin in clinic 👇

✨ Breakouts around the jawline/chin

→ Often linked to hormones

✨ Cystic acne on the cheeks

→ Can be linked to digestion + gut health

✨ Red, inflamed acne

→ Often a sign of internal inflammation

✨ Skin that flares during stress

→ Nervous system involvement

✨ Persistent, stubborn acne not improved with skincare

→ Usually deeper root causes that haven’t been addressed yet

Now this doesn’t mean it’s *only* one thing.

Most of the time, it’s a combination.

Which is why just treating the skin topically often isn’t enough.

Because if you’re not addressing what’s happening internally…

You’re constantly chasing symptoms.

This is why I take a whole-body approach with clients — looking at gut health, hormones, stress, and lifestyle together.

Because when you understand what your skin is trying to tell you…

You can actually start working *with* your body instead of against it 🌿

If you’ve been feeling stuck with your skin and not sure what it’s trying to tell you, I can help guide you through that. Bookings are available via the link in my bio.

You can have the “perfect” diet…

And still struggle with your skin.

Because what most people overlook is this:

Stress and sleep impact your skin just as much — if not more — than what you eat.

Here’s why 👇

When your body is constantly in stress mode:

→ Cortisol increases

→ Blood sugar becomes more unstable

→ Inflammation increases

→ Gut function becomes disrupted

And all of this directly impacts your skin.

Now layer that with poor sleep…

And your body doesn’t get the chance to:

– repair

– regulate hormones

– reduce inflammation

So even if you’re eating really well…

Your body isn’t in a state where it can actually *benefit* from it.

This is why I’ll often see clients who are:

✨ eating “clean”

✨ taking the right supplements

✨ doing all the things

But still not seeing results.

Because their nervous system is constantly “on”.

The goal isn’t to have a perfect diet.

It’s to create an internal environment where your body actually feels safe enough to heal.

That looks like:

✨ prioritising sleep

✨ regulating your nervous system

✨ creating moments of rest in your day

This is often the missing piece when your skin feels stuck.

If this resonates, it might be time to zoom out and look at the bigger picture 🌿

If you want support with this from a personalised approach, you can book via the link in my bio.

Most people don’t need more supplements…

They need the *right* ones.

Because taking 5–10 random supplements and hoping something works?

That’s not a strategy.

That’s guesswork.

And honestly… it’s one of the biggest things I see when new clients come in.

They’re already taking:

– A probiotic

– Zinc

– Magnesium

– Maybe something for hormones

– Maybe something for gut health

But nothing is really *moving the needle*.

Not because supplements don’t work —

But because they’re not targeted to what’s actually going on for YOU.

When I’m deciding what supplements matter, I look at:

✨ What are the root drivers? (gut, hormones, stress, inflammation)

✨ What is this person actually deficient in or struggling with?

✨ What symptoms are showing up and what patterns do they point to?

✨ What will create the *most impact* with the least overwhelm?

Because more isn’t better.

Targeted is better.

And in a lot of cases…

We’re not adding more in — we’re simplifying.

This is why personalised support matters.

Because the right supplement for someone else might do absolutely nothing for you.

If you’re currently taking a handful of supplements and not seeing results…

This might be why.

If you want help simplifying your routine and actually targeting the root cause, you can book via the link in my bio 🌿

You’ve cleaned up your diet.

You’re eating the “healthiest” you ever have.

You’ve cut out trigger foods…

But your skin is still flaring.

So what’s going on? 👀

It might have less to do with *what* you’re eating…

And more to do with *how* you’re eating.

Because blood sugar has a much bigger impact on your skin than most people realise.

If you’re:

– Skipping meals

– Not eating breakfast

– Starting your day with coffee

– Going long periods without eating

– Getting home starving and overeating

These are all signs your blood sugar might be out of balance.

And this is exactly why you can be eating “healthy”…

But still struggling with acne.

Because it’s not just what you eat — it’s how your body responds to it.

Signs your blood sugar might be impacting your skin:

– Energy crashes in the afternoon

– Cravings for sugar or carbs

– Feeling shaky, irritable or “hangry”

– Needing coffee to get through the day

– Breakouts around the jawline/chin

The goal isn’t to cut everything out or be overly restrictive.

It’s to:

✨ Build balanced meals (protein + fats + fibre)

✨ Eat regularly

✨ Reduce big spikes and crashes

This is one of the first things I look at with clients struggling with acne — because when we stabilise blood sugar, we often see a big shift in their skin.

If your skin feels unpredictable or reactive, this could be the missing piece 🌿

If you want help addressing this from a personalised approach, you can book via the link in my bio.

I committed to meditating every day for 100 days… here’s what actually changed 🧘🏼‍♀️✨

At the start of this year, I made a commitment to prioritise regulating my nervous system and making meditation my daily anchor.

Some days has been 20 minutes

Some days has been 5

Some days it was literally just sitting with my eyes closed at my desk or in bed and breathing because that was all I had in me

But I showed up anyway 🤍

And over time, I started to notice real shifts…

✨ I feel calmer day-to-day

Not in a “life is stress-free” way but my baseline feels more regulated

✨ I don’t get as caught up in my thoughts

My mind still wanders (a lot 😅) but I notice my thoughts more, instead of spiralling in them

✨ I have more mental clarity

Some of my best ideas and problem solving have come after meditation

When my mind finally has space to slow down

✨ My capacity for stress has improved

The things that used to overwhelm me don’t hit the same anymore

It feels like my nervous system has more resilience

✨ It’s become something I actually enjoy

What started as a habit now feels like something I *want* to do — not something on my to-do list

✨ And the biggest one… consistency matters more than perfection

Some days didn’t feel productive at all

But those were often the days I needed it the most

100 days later, this has easily been one of the most powerful things I’ve done for my nervous system 🌿

I’ve been speaking about this a lot with clients lately, because supporting your nervous system has such a ripple effect on your health — from stress, to hormones, to gut health… and especially your skin

If you’ve been thinking about starting, take this as your sign 🤍

I personally use the Insight Timer app (the free version is great), and I’ve added the widget to my home screen so I can see my streak to stay consistent

Even 3 deep breaths counts ✨

You might think your digestion is “fine”…

But these signs say otherwise 👇

– Bloating after meals (even if it’s mild)
– Feeling heavy, sluggish or tired after eating
– Skin flare-ups (acne, congestion, inflammation)
– Irregular bowel movements (not going daily or not fully emptying)
– Cravings for sugar or carbs
– Reflux, burping or gas

The thing is…

Digestive issues don’t always show up as obvious symptoms.

A lot of the time, they show up subtly and we normalise them.

But your gut is at the centre of everything:

✨ nutrient absorption
✨ hormone balance
✨ skin health
✨ energy levels

So if something feels “slightly off”… it’s worth paying attention to.

Because small symptoms now often become bigger ones later.

If you’ve been noticing any of these, this is your sign to start looking a little deeper 🌿

If you want support getting to the root cause, you can book a consultation via the link in my bio.

If your acne isn’t responding to skincare… it might not be a topical issue 👀

Sometimes we need to look a little deeper at what’s happening internally. These are some of the most common patterns I see in clinic:

1. Breakouts around the jawline
→ Often linked to hormonal patterns (especially androgens)
Think: PCOS, coming off the pill, or imbalances in hormone metabolism

2. Acne + Fatigue
→ Can point towards nutrient deficiencies (iron, B12, zinc), blood sugar dysregulation or thyroid function
These all impact skin healing, inflammation & oil production

3. Acne + Digestive Symptoms (bloating, IBS, irregular bowels)
→ Your gut and skin are closely connected
Imbalances in the gut microbiome or digestion can drive inflammation that shows up on your skin

4. Acne that worsens with stress
→ Chronic stress impacts cortisol
This can disrupt hormones, increase inflammation & affect gut function — all triggers for breakouts

5. Acne that won’t respond to topical treatments
→ A big sign the root cause is internal, not just skin-deep

✨ The goal isn’t just to treat acne — it’s to understand why it’s happening

This is exactly how I approach skin in clinic — looking at the body as a whole and connecting the dots.

If you’re feeling stuck and like you’ve tried everything… this is your sign to go deeper 🤍

✨ Inside The Acne Cheat Sheet I show you how to start identifying your own underlying drivers using blood tests and identifying pattern.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing all the right things for your acne… but your skin still isn’t improving — this might be why.

A lot of acne advice focuses on what to take or what to use…

But not enough people are asking:
“What is actually driving my acne?”

Because acne isn’t random.
There’s always a reason your skin is behaving the way it is.

And more often than not, your blood tests are already holding clues — you just need to know what to look for.

This is where I see the biggest shift happen with my clients…
When we stop guessing, and start looking at the body as a whole 🧩

✨ That’s exactly why I created The Acne Cheat Sheet

It’s designed to help you step back, look at the bigger picture, and start connecting the dots between your results and your skin.

So if you’re feeling stuck or confused with your acne, take this as your sign to go deeper 🤍

Your blood tests might already be giving clues about what’s driving your acne… you just need to know how to read them 👀

One of the biggest frustrations I hear from clients is that they’ve had blood tests done before but were told everything looked “normal.”

The problem is — normal doesn’t always mean optimal for skin health.

Subtle imbalances that can influence acne — like nutrient deficiencies, hormone shifts, inflammation, or blood sugar patterns — can easily be missed.

This is why I look at patterns across multiple markers, rather than just assessing one result in isolation.

Inside The Acne Cheat Sheet I walk you through the exact framework I use in clinic to analyse blood tests and identify the underlying drivers behind your skin.

Inside the guide you’ll find:
✨ Blood tests to ask your GP for
✨ Optimal ranges used in clinic
✨ How to analyse your results
✨ The Acne Pattern Tracker to help you connect the dots

If you feel like you’ve tried everything for your acne but still don’t have answers… this is a really good place to start 🤍
