(instragram) After having my two children in 2009 and 2011, I found myself overweight and unhappy with how I looked and generally felt about myself. I set some realistic and achievable goals both for myself and my career that would change my life forever! Education is the key in gaining more knowledge to teach and educate my clients! In 2015, I went back to school and became qualified at the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers with Certificate 3 & 4 (in Fitness). In 2015 I started working in the fitness industry as a qualified group fitness instructor teaching Zumba, Bootcamps, Dance, Yoga Stretching, Metafit, MetaPower and Pound classes. I also started coaching clients with one-on-one personal training and 8-week challenges. In 2018 – 2021 I furthered my knowledge within the specialised area of Sports Nutrition, completing my “Certificate in Nutrition & Diet” in 2018, Advanced Certificate of Nutrition & Health (specialising in Sports & Exercise Nutrition) and
Certificate in Nutrition & Diet for Exercise Professionals in 2020.
certificates were completed through Beck Health and Nutrition. In 2018 I opened my first online Nutrition and Personal Training business called Merri’s Nutrition & Fitness

In 2020 I achieved my ultimate goal of competing in an ICN bikini/bodybuilding show. In 2021 I completed my accreditation in Applied Sports Nutrition through Sports Nutrition Association (SNA). In 2022, I rebranded and relaunched my entire online coaching services, calling it FitBody Coaching. Today, I work online at FitBody Coaching as head coach and as a face to face personal trainer at Fernwood Fitness. If you want to work with me directly, please send me a message to get started today. I love helping mid life women elevate and discover their full potential whilst creating their best selves with on restrictions. Merri

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀… 🤍

I was listening to a podcast with Dave Hughes recently, and something he said really stuck with me:

“Breathing is winning. Life is itself a gift. The biggest winners in life are the people who realise being alive is the biggest gift of all.”

And honestly… I think we all need this reminder sometimes.

We can get SO caught up in chasing the next goal.

Lose another 5kg.
Get to a certain number on the scales.
Change our body.
Get fitter.
Do more.
Achieve more.

And before we know it, we’re constantly waiting for the next milestone before we allow ourselves to feel happy or proud.

But what if you stopped for a moment and realised…

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

Your health and fitness journey shouldn’t be about punishing yourself because you don’t love your body enough.

It should be about looking after the body you have.

Getting stronger.
Feeling healthier.
Having more energy.
Building confidence.
And giving yourself the opportunity to enjoy this life for as long as possible.

Of course I want you to have goals. ❤️

I want you to challenge yourself, become stronger and healthier, and work towards becoming the best version of yourself.

But I also want you to 𝗘𝗡𝗝𝗢𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗝𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗬.

Don’t postpone living until you reach your goal weight.

Don’t wait until your body looks different before you wear the outfit.

Don’t skip the dinner, the holiday, the celebration or the memories because you’re scared of going “off track”.

Because ultimately…

The goal isn’t just to live longer.
It’s to actually LIVE.

So today, take a breath.

Look around.

Appreciate where you are right now.

You are here.
You are breathing.
You get another day.

And that, in itself, is pretty amazing. 🤍

Save this post for the days you need the reminder. x

𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 — 𝗔𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗘 💙

5.2kg down. 34cm gone. Stronger, fitter and feeling more like herself again.

But Aimee’s progress is about so much more than the numbers.

As a mum of two, one of her biggest reasons for starting was wanting to be a positive example for her kids and prioritise her health — not just for now, but for the future.

When Aimee started with us, she had an all-or-nothing mindset around her health and fitness. Rather than rushing straight into fat loss, we spent time building the foundations first — improving her nutrition, protein intake, training consistency, daily movement and mindset.

Once those foundations were in place, we transitioned into a fat loss phase — and the results speak for themselves.

Over the past 12 weeks, Aimee has:

✔️Lost 5.2kg
✔️ Lost 34cm overall, including 9.5cm from her waist and 7cm from her hips
✔️ Become stronger in her training
✔️ Built consistency with her nutrition and protein
✔️ Averaged around 8,000+ steps per day
✔️ Noticed less bloating and everyday movement becoming easier
✔️ Fit back into old jeans 🤩

And this hasn’t happened during 12 weeks of “perfect” circumstances.

There have been family illnesses, a funeral, work stress, medication changes, disrupted sleep, missed sessions, social events and weeks where the scale moved in the wrong direction.

The difference? She stopped allowing one difficult day or week to become a reason to give up.

Aimee has taken on coaching feedback, applied it, adjusted when life got messy and kept coming back to the basics.

That shift away from all or nothing and towards consistency over perfection is one of the biggest wins of all.

So proud of you, Aimee. 💙 And we’re not finished yet!

Stronger. Healthier. More confident. That’s the Redefined difference.

One of the biggest myths in fat loss is that you need to eat plain, boring food to get results.

The reality?

The meals that help you lose weight and keep it off are the meals you actually enjoy eating.

Every meal I created is built around:
✔️ Protein
✔️ Volume
✔️ Flavour
✔️ Satisfaction

Because when your meals keep you fuller for longer, support your protein goals and actually taste good, consistency becomes a whole lot easier.

Fat loss doesn’t need to mean salads with no dressing, dry chicken and cutting out all your favourite foods.

It can look like loaded potatoes, teriyaki chicken, homemade pita chips and hearty rice bowls.

The key is learning how to build meals that work for your goals while still enjoying what you eat.

Which one would you choose first?

𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆… 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻?

This is your reminder that you don’t have to give up your favourite meals to stay on track — you just need to recreate them in a smarter way

High protein ✔️
Loaded with nutrients ✔️
Still tastes amazing ✔️

This fishbowl-style meal hits the spot without the extra calories from heavy sauces and fried options

Little swaps like this are what make your results sustainable long term — not restrictive, not boring… just better choices that fit your lifestyle.

Because it’s not about cutting things out…
it’s about learning how to build meals that work for you

Why not come and join the Redefined Nutrition + Coaching team and learn new ways to incorporate all the foods you love into your diet without guilt or restrictions.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗮𝘁 “𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆”…
is because of what they think healthy eating looks like.

If your version of healthy is plain chicken, broccoli and no snacks…
of course it’s going to feel restrictive, boring and impossible to stick to.

Healthy eating shouldn’t feel like punishment.

It should be balanced, enjoyable and sustainable.

Meals that are satisfying.
Food you actually enjoy eating.
A way of eating you can maintain for life — not just a few weeks.

Because the goal isn’t perfection…
it’s consistency.

And consistency comes from building habits that fit into your life, not fight against it.

➡️Check out my “healthy” meals and tell me they don’t look delicious. 🤤
